   We booked for 6.15 for our anniversary dinner and were greeted and sat efficiently. Our waiter introduced himself as our waiter for the evening and took our food and drink orders but then we did not see him again for the rest of the meal until clearing our plates in silence. My partner ordered the scallops to start and what arrived was 2 scallops on a bed of leaves and salt, way overpriced for what was delivered. I ordered the pork ribs which had a nice flavour but again we're lacking in quantity for the price paid. For mains I ordered the seabass which had a rich flavour to it complimented by a black bean chilli butter. My partner ordered the chicken curry which arrived overcooked and extremely chewy with a very basic curry sauce coating the chicken. At this stage, we were a bit disappointed with the food but understood we maybe had just gotten unlucky with what we ordered and the fact it was so busy. However, our waiter then reappeared to take our plates not saying a word to ask how we found our food or even to offer to view any dessert menu. Instead, he disappeared and we were approached by what we could only assume was a manager or the front of house who informed us that after being sat there for just over an hour they needed us to leave to make room for other people coming in. We were taken aback by this and agreed to pay the bill and leave. We left the restaurant at which point I checked the booking which stated we would have the table for 2 hours. We returned to the restaurant to speak to someone but were left standing at the front for a number of minutes with no one coming to speak to us. Instead, we left to allow people behind us get seated and call the restaurant instead. We were quite rudely told that the restaurant was busy and they had to move us on despite the booking being for 2 hours. We feel we were moved for not ordering enough food despite us wanting to order dessert also. A disappointing experience all round which ruined our evening

   Had a lovely valentines meal, can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The service was fabulous, ordered some small plates, a large plate and sides and the flavour was 10/10. So tasty❤️ the cocktails were so yummy. We’re visiting from belfast and my takeaway was we need a Kaldero in Belfast.

   There were lesser veg options to choose from. Otherwise very good experience overall. I recommend.

   Cocktails were excellent, however the chicken was dry, pork belly was just entirely fat with no / minimal meat. Unfortunate considering the price of the dishes.

   The pictures of this place on Instagram doesn’t even do it justice. The food was amazing & the cocktails were so unique and delicious. Now adding this as my favourite restaurant in Dublin - must visit! Also, the staff were so lovely & their service was amazing. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know!

   We had a beautiful pre theatre meal. The variety and the quality was excellent. Great staff. We will return before our next visit to the Gaiety.

   Good food, but expensive. A bit rushed on this occasion, was told the table booking was 90 minutes with another booking coming, server ask about food before drinks. No forks and had to ask for side plates for the mains.

   The octopus main was extremely rubbery and overpowered by the charred taste. Paying €25 for a dish which tasted as if the octopus was defrosted and cooked then cooled again to be once reheated spoiled the whole experience and sense of value. The menu is incredibly exciting with many new tastes to try not often found in Dublin but for the service and cost asked, the experience was not worth it.

    Classic Press-up group experience. Beautiful interiors and overall great attentive service from the staff. However, when it comes to the food this is where clearly the focus is on making the experience instagrammable rather than culinary. The dishes are quite expensive, while portions are on the smaller side. The staff obsessively asked if we wanted more drinks (this is by no means a critique to the staff but rather to the practices set by press up on their employees to constantly try to upsell). Overall this is the type of restaurant that you go once, and probably never again.
