   Looked forward to a birthday dinner for my wife, drove down from North County w our 2 yr old, it took us over 30 mins to get our drinks alone, then we had to ask twice who our waiter was only after attempting to get our own drinks at the bar. My wife has food allergies so we needed to talk to a waiter before she knew what to order...Had to flag down a waitress who just came in on shift to help us who ended up being reliable for last portion of our evening. The food was tasty, drinks great, and the design of place is cool, but it all goes down the tubes when u can't get service. (Bill wasn't unreasonable either in the end)

   My friend and I went to Kindred for lunch. Our server was very friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu. The drinks and food were very good. It took about 45 minutes for us to get our food and during this time our server didn’t let us know why it was taking so long.

   I really do love this place. The food is outstanding and innovative. I was a little disappointed by a few things this visit though. Sooo many “ impossible meat” options now. Meh…I liked having just more well cooked veg options before… bring back the risotto! Service …. we had a Rez and no one asked us for 15 minutes if we wanted drinks… although water was poured. We thought all the servers might have left. Finally… I told the host it was my husbands birthday … never acknowledged. That’s a pretty big detail to overlook.

   The tables are tiny!! very difficult to enjoy yourself as there is not much room. The tiny tables are more suitable for a game of chess or arm wrestling 🤣 but everything else was good.

   Favorite restaurant in all of SD! The service is top notch, the food is phenomenal and the ambiance is one of a kind.

   The level of noise was such that conversations had to be at a yelling level. My Mind Melt sandwich was outstanding as were the caesar salads. However the crispy potatoes were greasy and the egg roll burger was falling apart and difficult to eat except with a knife and fork. Glad we went but probably will not go again.
