   We booked our table and received a reminder to go to our meal on Wed evening 6th Dec. We arrived to a ghost hotel. no one at reception, no one in the dining room, we were told the staff didn't appear for work that day, we left and went to eat somewhere else. I wish someone had told us before we made the journey that there would be no meal.

   The Hotel and Restaurant was beautiful and quiet for our time there. The food was delicious and well presented. Good value for money and the portions was perfect. Will definitely be having more meals here.

   The website description of the food created an expectation of a restaurant menu. In fact it was just good pub food and wine, which was ok for what we wanted. I wouldn't go here for a special occasion meal.

   An odd one. The hotel and restaurant were clearly once very well populated and busy - however, it was lacking. The food was extremely tasty and well presented, however the service was a little slow considering there was less that 4 tables eating.... The decor was dated, but would have been lovely a few years ago. I feel as though the place is hanging on, but clearly there is no love or budget left in the place. Such a shame. The pictures do not match it's current state.

   This is by far our favourite restaurant because the owners and staff are amazing and the home cooked food is just beyond words A hidden gem that people should try 👌

   The menu online is different to what is at the restaurant. Food was lovely but the restaurant was too quiet we was the only ones in there on a Saturday night.

    Very characterful room with beams. Comfortable bar adjacent. Good menu not overlong. Good service. Food ample and delicious. Very pleased with choice of venue to meet up with friends.
