   We went Kirby’s last night for our 47th wedding anniversary as we have done for the last few anniversaries. Our server was J.J. I believe. He was friendly, but did just the minimum in serving. We requested medium rare steaks, but they were more on the medium side…but still delicious. The steaks looked sad in the middle of the plate with no garnish. The Caesar salad was wonderful as always, and I loved the French onion soup. We were somewhat disappointed that we didn’t receive our complementary glass of champagne or complementary dessert. And, not too surprising, we did not receive our complementary $20 gift certificate. The noise level is awful…we couldn’t even have a conversation during dinner, so we ate quickly and left. Not much of a celebration.

   We recently celebrated a family member's birthday at Kirby's and had a wonderful experience! The food was amazing and the ambience was cozy and warm! Our waiter was excellent - he provided just the right amount of attention and we never felt that we were being rushed to either order or finish our time together. We would highly recommend Kirby's to anyone looking for an upscale, relaxed evening, with five-star cuisine! Be sure to try the grilled tequila shrimp with lime cilantro sauce - out of this world! We will definitely be returning sooner rather than later!

   We have been to Kirby’s several times. It’s just a really good restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere, delicious food, and great service every time. It is a Prime Steakhouse, and that’s what you get… consistently every time.

   We had the filet which was perfectly cooked medium, hot and delicious. Soup or salad came with the steak. Crusty sourdough bread and butter was also included. My father was celebrating his 86th birthday so they brought him a crème brûlée. The service was impeccable and cordial. Lovely ambience and quiet. Excellent experience.

   Probably the 50th time my wife and I have eaten at the Kirby's in Southlake. Plus we had our 33 year old son with us. First off - great service, waiter was attentive, funny, and super fast on his feet. The ambience is always nice here - the right balance of Texas and stylish. Overall the food was good - but puzzlingly the steaks were the worst thing we had... We started with Shrimp Cocktail - they were large and fresh and plump. Very nice. We had a few whiskey sours which were superb - love when the bar know how to use foam in drinks. Next my wife had soup and I had salad. Both very good. Like their house dressing. My son ordered redfish - and it came with beans - he liked in and devoured it in about 5 minutes. But to the steaks - my wife ordered medium plus - and it came out less than medium rare. It was a 7 oz filet so nothing tricky. It was just way undercooked - and for prime beef - didn't have that awesome char you love on the outside. I ordered the wagyu surf and turf - and I can say without a doubt. I didn't get wagyu beef. It was very dense and harder to cut "the meat was stiff" - kind of an 'outback steakhouse' cut. The wagyu usually has such a high fat content it is soft soft soft with that awesome outside char. This was simply a very average steak, and a very bad steak for the price. Kirby's has been there 25 years or so - time for a fresh perspective in the kitchen in my opinion. Better QC from the exec there would be appreciated.

    We got to the restaurant in time for our reservation. We were seated late. That was really, not a big deal. Our waitress was sweet as can be but all of our orders were wrong My husband got a ribeye steak that was cooked like a piece of leather when he asked for rare And I got lamb chops that I asked for medium well that got served to me bleeding out There were four of us, and my girlfriend‘s meal was served to her raw as well The manager did come over and re cooked all of our food, but we were sitting there for two hours with having eaten only bread and a salad so ended up just taking our food to go. It was a terrible experience. In addition, my lamb chops were returned to me over the risotto with the pre-existing blood on the bottom. In addition, I woke up this morning with the worst stomachache and have had issues all morning. I’m an extremely healthy person. This does not happen to me. We spend a lot of time at Kirby’s because we live up the street in Southlake, but I will tell you that I will not go back again. I am very disappointed. The assistant manager did comp our wine but we ended up paying $159 for food that got home and went in the trash. Severely disappointed ….
