Continuing the legacy of Dallas' Original Steakhouse, Est. 1954, Kirby's Prime Steakhouse in Southlake, Est. 1999, is an award winning restaurant featuring Mid-Western, all natural, aged prime beef. Kirby's also offers fresh seafood, daily specials, and a spectacular collection of New and Old World wine housed in an impressive cellar of over 3,000 bottles. Chef seeks to introduce the culinary versatility of Kirby's cuisine to the newcomer, and to charm the well-educated diner with the tastes, colors, aromas, and preparation of the dishes Kirby's has to offer. I had a guest in town from overseas and wanted him to experience a good American steakhouse. From the beginning he loved the lively atmosphere and the Lobster Cargo and Beef Carpaccio started the meal well. The soup d' jour didn't disappoint either. The A5 Wagyu was outstanding and the best steak anyone at the table ever had. Our server Keith was very attentive and offered great opinions on the menu items. Although we were the last table to leave, we never felt rushed.

Our server, Laura, was lively and offered fantastic recommendations to enhance our anniversary dinner. Shawn Michael, the house sommelier, suggested an excellent cabernet that perfectly complemented our meal. His passion and expertise of our favorite wines truly shone through.

Kirby’s is by far our favorite high end steakhouse in DFW. The flavor of the steaks is unmatched and their peppercorn sauce is the best in DFW. The service is attentive and friendly. We go multiple times a year and have never been disappointed.

It was not very crowded for a Saturday night. The wait staff is always attentive and helpful. The little filet was perfectly cooked and fork tender. We chose a salad and a side from the chef’s specials-delicious. And a brandy Alexander was the perfect ending.
