   This place is overhyped and overpriced. I had seen the videos that were all over social media. However, I wanted to see for myself. We made it to our reservation on time and we received it immediately close the door and it was kind of cold, but we were seated immediately. To be honest, the host was probably the most attentive of the entire staff. We waited a good 20 minutes for water. He came back, took our drink orders. I ordered a Jameson Sprite. I am someone who carries Jamison at my home regularly. After receiving my drink, it did not taste anything like Jameson, I couldn’t even taste the Sprite. Eventually, the server came back, and I instructed him that my drink was not what I ordered asked him to take it back. Upon his return with a “new drink.” it was worse than the original. I am certain they are watering down the alcohol or replacing the alcohol with a cheaper brand. Mind you, Jameson is already inexpensive. The food was blah. Nothing to call home about and not really really good. I would never ever ever return to this establishment.

   Restaurant needs help with decor. Lighting and design lacked with price of food did not match the value .

   The seats were incredibly dirty to the point that I didn’t want to sit down. It took 35 mins to get water. The tables were unstable and rocked off balance everytime we touched them. I normally wouldn’t be this particular but to have paid $250 for two appetizers, one drink, and one entree, the least they could’ve done was made sure the tables were secure and the seats were clean. The water glasses were visibly dirty. The salmon bites were dry (hot, just overcooked), the crab cake was cold and dry and honestly wasn’t worth $25 based on the flavor and quality but that’s just my opinion. The frozen margarita was decent but not worth $47. I order the lamb chops (medium well) and one of them was completely pink and the waitress did nothing about it. Her exact words were “well I didn’t cook it.” The sides were decent. We got green and black eyed peas. I can honestly say I will never go back to this establishment. It was not worth the money.

   We visited Kitchen + Kocktails to celebrate my dad’s 68th birthday with a large party and were seated upstairs at 10:30 am. Initially, we were the only group in the area for 45 minutes, which we thought would allow for a pleasant and conversational atmosphere. Unfortunately, this was far from the case. The upstairs DJ refused to turn down the music when asked, citing "his right" to control it. While we understand that music sets the restaurant’s vibe, it seemed absurd that accommodating the only guests in the space was not a priority. The volume made it impossible to hear anyone, even those sitting directly in front of or next to us—not to mention the waitress. This completely defeated the purpose of being seated upstairs with our large party. Customer service should prioritize guest comfort and experience, especially for a celebratory occasion. Instead, it felt like the DJ was more interested in enjoying his personal playlist than ensuring the satisfaction of the restaurant’s patrons. We were excited to dine here and expected a higher standard of attentiveness. Unfortunately, we were left disappointed and unable to enjoy what should have been a special day.

   We had a great time ! It’s great when a place actually lives up to the hype. The food was phenomenal! They don’t hold back on the portions either. I’d definitely go back.
