This place definitely has a great vibe. The host/waiter was very attentive to guests and really made us feel welcomed. The appetizers were also creative takes on some tried and true staples such as the lamb egg rolls which I highly recommend. The gumbo was also an interesting take on a classic dish with the use of healthier proteins. It had the right level of space and a good aftertaste that left you wanting more. The drinks were also very tasty. Moving on to the main dishes, is where it gets interesting. In order to bring out all the flavor in meat; there needs to be some browning the meat we got was put into a wet marinade, and cooked at too low temperature to give it its full potential. The same could be said for the lobster that was missing the corn relish, and a little past the point of succulent. There were some great dishes like the braised collard greens and corn bread which should be married. Moving on to dessert, another winner. My wife who doesn’t typically like bread pudding loved this one. Same for the apple crisp. In summary, this is a little gem in the city. Glad I went and will definitely be coming back. I hope the next visit has the same staff.

This was a short notice lunch meeting with a colleague and the right place.. good midday location, warm reception and awesome food. The lunch special was a great deal, but we veered off to get additional food items. The menu is an eye catching experience. You want to try everything. My first experience with Oysters Rockefeller made me a convert for sure. This is a keeper and highly recommended. We’ll be back for sure 👍🏾

Food was excellent and the experience was above all the best thing. To see this young chef on fox5 and see his commitment in the community was the reason we came but the food is why we would come back. The jerk lamb chops were some of the most tender juiciest lamb chops I have had with a nice spice to it and baby those crab cake egg rolls and peach cobbler cheesecake are nothing to be played with.

A must try! The food was delicious! Seasoned to perfection! Atmosphere was very nice. I ordered the Jerk Lamb Chops with pasta. Darryl made our experience very personable. Will definitely be back soon.

This is a hidden gem in southeast that had great food, customer service and vibes. The jerk lamb chops are 10/10 with just the right amount of kick and I paired with a blueberry mojito. My date had the ultimate seafood pasta with lobster, shrimp & crab. The signature flavors of rosemary and thyme made it a flavor bomb. We can’t forgot to mention the banana pudding cheesecake and the cognac bread pudding. All in all, great experience with a great story. A must try,

This is our 3rd visit to Kitchen Savages. The owner, Durell (sp?), always makes time to stop by and personally check on his customers offering suggestions on menu items. The food appears to be made to order as it always comes out piping hot. If so, there was no discernible notice of wait time. We love the variety of food and the taste is phenomenal. Be sure to order honey blackened salmon and the dessert trio!

Enjoyed our experience. Food was very tasty but also pricey for the portions …. I got the gumbo shrimp and grits and it tasted a little scorched and only had about 3 andouille sausage in the whole dish a little overpriced for that value. But I would come back and recommend people to it! All in all 8.5 out of 10

Food was not that good. I was hungry and didn’t really want to finish my meal. Our waiter was nice. However, the man who greets people walking in with the glasses seem to have a slight attitude.
