    My date and I had their tasting menu. She’s vegan and I wanted to try some Mexican vegan because the reviews of La Bartola were great. The items were all distinct and tastefully crafted. We had a great time listening to our server Santana describe the inspirations and ingredients that went to the dishes. We could definitely tell that he was knowledgeable and enjoyed serving us, which also made the experience even better. I was sad to hear that the items on the tasting menu couldn’t be ordered a la carte, but we’ll definitely be coming back here with friends. Thanks Santana 🙏🏻

    The overall experience doesn’t not justify the value for the money that I pay. The birthday acknowledgment and birthday amenity was a nice touch! I will try to make another reservations again and hopefully overall experience will be much better compare to NYE celebration.

    This was my second time at La Bartola and the food underwhelmed again. We ordered the “Emmolada with Mole de Ofrenda” and it was not good at all. The combination of cacao and miso butter with the dish was very very bad and not edible. We also ordered the “Tlacoyo with Mushroom Suadero” which was ok-ish but nothing to be excited about. The food seems to be missing the depth of flavours and comes across as plain and leaves much to be desired. The cocktails were pretty good and tasty. And while the decor is beautiful at the restaurant, the bar spotlights at the top of the ceiling are a bit too much for someone sitting at the bar as they are too bright directly into the eye. Suggest to dim them a little or turn them off for a better experience. Overall, it’s an unfortunately bad experience for a place we had high hopes for and wanted to like it so badly.

    Our first visit to La Bartola was memorable. The service was excellent, but it’s the food that sets them apart. Their plant based menu makes you forget you are not eating animal protein. We tried their the Oaxacan Memelas, Mole Blanco, Oaxacan Tetelas & Pistachio Pipian and for dessert their orange tamale and key-lime ice-cream. All delicious and expertly crafted. Thank you for a delicious meal and excellent service. We plan on coming back!

    I have been to La Bartola on two separate occasions and it does not disappoint! The service is incredible - it’s what you want on a night out but seems few and far between these days. The quality and flavours of the dishes are remarkable and thought of long after the visit. Thank you for creating an enjoyable environment that caters to plant based diets!
