   Enjoyed almost everything about our NYE experience at La Belle Helene. Service and ambiance was excellent as this is truly one of the most beautiful interiors in all of CLT F&B. Menu was excellent, except for the pate which was not at all to my liking. Fortunately, I was able to get a substitution and loved the endive salad, scallops and hazelnut vanilla cake. Likewise, my wife enjoyed the crab Louie, prime rib and pot d’ crème. Will definitely look to go back again.

   My wife and I have been trying French cuisine restaurants on our anniversary for over 12 years now. We've gone to many places over the years and, being new out here to the East Coast, we're still trying to explore every year on our anniversary for the perfect French restaurant. I'm happy to say that on our 18th anniversary celebration we came here to La Belle Helene and found the best French restaurant ever. From the moment we came in, they seemed happy to see us. They congratulated us on our anniversary several times. They even gave us complimentary food delicacies from the chef in honor of our big day. My wife and I felt special and that they were all genuinely happy that we were there. From henceforth, we will always come to this place for our anniversary. I simply cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you, La Belle Helene, for making our night so special! (And a BIG shout out to Travis, our server, who was AMAZING!)

   We went for a special birthday celebration…I would say it wasn’t great, but wasn’t terrible. Our server was nice and attentive; however, the front desk staff wasn’t overly welcoming. The food was just fine, not remarkable, and was expensive for what it was. I noted on our reservation that it was a birthday celebration and said it multiple times to our server and front desk but there was never a mention. Overall…it was fine.

   Whenever we make a reservation here, we still end up standing waiting for 20 to 30 minutes food was good, service was fantastic. This place has a great ambiance.

   Not sure if they were understaffed because of holidays, but our waiter tried his best and was very friendly and helpful, it just took a really long time for food to come out even though the restaurant was only about a 1/3 of the way full (about a half hours wait just for soup). Some things feel a little overpriced, but the sandwiches were very good. Very beautiful restaurant and the portion sizes are good!

   Requested smaller room and booth when I made Rez a week earlier. When I arrived I was told “There was a mixup”… and we were seated in in a place I did not like. In the past we were asked if we wanted to add a gratuity for the kitchen ( which I always did). Now it’s a mandatory addition added to the total bill requiring a recalculation of server gratuity. That’s like adding a gratuity on top of a gratuity. While the food and service are excellent, I don’t care for the tactics. We will not be returning.

   The restaurant is beautiful and that’s why I wanted to take my family there. We were sat in a semi private area which was ok, but you are kind of stuck out of the way and can’t appreciate the beauty of the restaurant. We also let our server know we had a show at 7:30 when we sat down at 5:30 for our reservation. It took about 30 minutes for our bottle of wine to be ordered and delivered which was longer than necessary especially since it was not busy. We placed our food order at that time and did not receive our appetizer until 6:40 and then our meals at 7pm. We had to ask for our check right away because we were cutting to very close to our 7:30pm show start time. Things took a long time and we had to rush through our fairly pricey meals. Lastly, with the price of wine and most foods here, I would expect that the entire table has matching wine glasses, appetizer plates and utensils. All of us at our table had mismatched items. In a sense, I expected more from a restaurant that charges these prices and I was not exactly impressed.

    Ate here years ago before they closed down and recall spectacular food and top notch service. Can not say the same about our recent visit. Granted it was Christmas Eve but they were not over capacity (which was nice). Food seemed rather pricey for the experience (not very hot). Further, our waitress was unaccommodating and not helpful. I'm not sure if she was new or filling in for someone else. But it was Christmas Eve so we extended grace. Note: do not sit at one of the tables that backs up to another booth. Uncomfortable and every time the other side moves, you feel your side shake and bump. Disappointing and pricey experience to say the least. Never had a manager come by to address anything.
