   Where taking my Dad out for his 85 birthday, and when I made the reservation I had expected enjoy the Queens Feast Menu not the brunch menu which was a little disappointing. There should be something letting you know before scheduling a reservation what you can and cannot have depending on the time of your reservations

   The restaurant is beautiful and my first experience there was excellent. Today the service was off. Half of our food was incorrect and it took about 20-25 minutes to bring out the correct entrees and a side. The waitress hardly checked on us and we had to get a manager. They did comp half of our meal. I will go back but was disappointed with the service today.

   This was my second time dining here. First was for brunch. This was for dinner. I ordered off the Queens feast menu. Everything was delightful and wonderful except the Beef Bourguignon - it had an offensive smell almost like manure to it. It wasn’t horrible tasting, but my friend was also not a fan, so I doubt we will be back. It was not appetizing looking and looked like it smelled.

   We had a 6 pm reservation and when we arrived at 6, we were told our table was not available and they would let us know when it was. I had made a 6 pm reservation bc we were going to see a show at 8. The hostess suggested we go to the bar and we did. Then because we were a party of 7, she rudely told us we needed to move (to where I have no idea) out of the way because she needed a 2 top table behind us and then when the couple got to the table the hostess loudly, and annoyed, told them that she had told us to get out of the way. This was after we had just ordered $100 worth of drinks at the bar. At 6:20 we checked on our reservation and the same hostess told us that our table had just ordered dessert and still wasn't ready. She was not at all helpful or apologetic. Then I told the woman who had helped us at the bar about the reservation and needing to leave by 7:30 to go to the Blumenthal. She was understanding and helpful. She was able to seat us in one of the private rooms and let the waiter know that we were on a time crunch. Our server was perfect. The hostess was terrible and rude. This is also the second time I have been to Belle Helene with a reservation, then having to wait 25 minutes for the table to open up. I will not be going here again which is sad, because it is such a beautiful restaurant.

   Food was excellent from appetizer to dessert. Definitely a new go to spot for date night or girls night.

   Really good experience, server was excellent! Delivering the bill in a copy of The Iliad is weird but unique. Will return!

   We went for restaurant week and the food was exceptional! For our first course, we had the chicken and mushroom pastry dish that is not on the normal menu and it was like a deconstructed pot pie but richer. I’d definitely try and get it while you can. We also had the deviled eggs with caviar and they were delicious. For the main course we had the salmon and the beef bourguignon. The salmon melted in your mouth like butter but we both agreed the beef was even better. Again, it was very rich and tender. For the last course we got the chocolate gatueau and the ricane which was like a snickers bar, but very light since it’s made with mousse. Both were excellent. Can’t wait to come back and try the French Onion Soup. We kept seeing it come out from the kitchen and it looked so tasty. I also want to mention the service - it was incredible. Everything was paced perfectly and our server was so sweet and kept checking on us and the food. We will definitely be back!
