   La Cabrera brings Argentinian flair to Coconut Grove in a warm, lively setting that sets the tone for a satisfying meal. Right off the bat, we appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary bread accompanied by a flavorful assortment of sides: a rich tomato dip that paired beautifully with balsamic vinegar, a bowl of olives, and other tasty tidbits that made us feel welcomed before we even ordered. For appetizers, we went with two types of empanadas - beef, and onion & cheese. Both were impressive, but the standout was the onion and cheese, especially when dipped in the house spicy sauce, which added a satisfying kick. Our main courses included the breaded steak, Churrasco, and salmon. The steaks were the highlight - cooked well, with robust flavor and just the right amount of char. The salmon was good, though not particularly memorable; it felt like a safer option next to the more dynamic beef dishes. As for the sides, we tried mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and rice. All were solid, complementing the mains well, though none stole the spotlight. Think of them as dependable supporting actors rather than scene stealers. We skipped dessert, but La Cabrera didn’t let us leave without a sweet note. They offered house-made chocolates and playful lollipops with the check, a charming final touch that rounded out the evening nicely.

   The food was okay, but extremely overpriced. It was $300 for 3 of us to each have a cocktail and share steak. No desert or appetizers in that. For the price, it was not worth it. My short ribs were completely fatty. The filet and the skirt steak were both good though. Best espresso martini I’ve ever had. That was worth the $15! I don’t recommend this place, maybe just for happy hour!

   It was our first time at the restaurant and we had a great experience. The staff was amazing, especially dealing with my daughter’s allergies. The food was awesome and a good value. I would highly recommend this place.

   We decided to try this restaurant as we had visited one of their locations in Argentina while on vacation. And it did not disappoint! Outstanding service, food quality, and variety of dishes. Everything tasted fresh and done to the exact specification. Prices are reasonable for the quality, standards, and location. Ample parking right next door is a PLUS! Service is friendly and not rushed. Staff was knowledgeable and professional checked on us frequently and kept water and drinks filled. It will definitely be in our go back list.

    We arrived at the restaurant, which had a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately, the service was not good right from the start. Eventually, someone took our order. One of the reasons, we chose this place was because we have high standards, when it comes to meat. Well, this was truly a disappointment. I ordered a steak that I always enjoy it cooked medium-rare, and it was lukewarm on the outside with an unappetizing color. When I cut into it and took a bite, the meat was cold as if it had just come out of the refrigerator! Totally disappointing.
