   We are never disappointed dining here. We sat at the bar and started with the amazing chips and salsas. The chicken and beef fajitas were enough to share (but I didn’t :) ). We had enough left overs to take home. It was a nice treat to be able to have a nice dinner at the bar over drinks and all the staff are so friendly and attentive , loved it!

   This was the first time we have been to La Capital MX and we will definitely make a point of going again some time. The food was amazing—some really interesting spins on traditional Mexican food. Our only gripe was the service was very slow. Our waiter was also mixing drinks at the bar which meant his focus was not really on his tables. The wait for the food was quite long and he did not surface very often to check to see if we needed anything. Not his fault probably—the restaurant was really busy and he was working; just not necessarily at his tables.

   Nice ambience, atmosphere. Food is ok, but we would have liked more authentic, flavorful Mexican food. Waiter was so, so: impersonal, rushed. Free parking in garage next door.

   The best Mexican food we have found in Charlotte thus far. We are from San Antonio, TX and had pretty much given up finding anywhere to eat good Mexican food but decided to give La Capital MX a chance. It did not disappoint Good start with the chips, salsa and queso. Skinny margarita and Ranch Water were legit. The tacos were authentic and very good. Had the churros to cap off the meal and they were very good...and filling. More than enough to share. Great vibe and attentive, friendly service. We will come back.

   We used to visit here often. Seems the staff has flipped and all seemed very disjointed. Long waits on food/drinks, servers with little confidence, personality. It was an Eh experience. No need to come back for a while. The Pescado taco is still the best in town though!

   Love it -our “go too” for tacos in a setting where you cans also have excellent sangria or fabulous spicy margaritas at the bar. We are repeat offenders ;)

   I had the skirt steak with a onion enchilada. The skirts steak was very good. The onion enchilada was terrible as sort of expected something special to be done to the onions, caramelized or something. They were barely cooked very bland so overall, it was a waste of my money had reservations, but decided to sit at the bar with my friend to celebrate my 70th birthday bartender was not very knowledgeable when we ask him what drinks he recommended he said whatever you like and turned around and walked off after we finished our meal. I had a margarita which was $19 and water down We walked across the street to Sullivan‘s to have a nice drink in better Atmosphere. Will not be returning.

   2nd time dining here at La Capital MX, and this time the service was a tad slow. The carnitas were drier compared to our last visit. But overall we enjoyed our food and drinks. Still remains the truest Mexican food in the Charlotte region.

    Food was very good, but definitely overpriced for what it was. Must have been short staffed the night we went. Service was very slow and inattentive.
