   I’d like to start by saying that I don’t typically go out of my way to leave a negative review, but my recent dining experience here was now the second bad experience I’ve had at this restaurant and due to that i definitely will not be returning. Our reservation was made for 8:30pm, when we arrived it was clearly busy but various empty tables with dirty dishes still left. The servers didn’t seem to move with any urgency to clear them off. I believe we were finally sat around 8:50 which for how busy it was we were fine with. When the server came around to take the order we were informed that nearly all of the pastas were sold out for the night. In exploring other options & asking about the menu we felt the server did not have good knowledge about the daily specials. We placed our order despite the lack of options & then the wait began. We did not receive our appetizers for at minimum an hour after we ordered. Again, due to it being busy we expected a wait however the concern was that there was no communication from the wait staff to update us throughout the evening. The appetizer was good, but then we had another long wait until we received our mains. When the mains came out that’s when we were really disappointed. Both my spouse & I’s meals were incredibly bland and unseasoned & just overall not enjoyable. I had not been at this restaurant since probably 2019 when it was under previous ownership and my experience then was just as bad & it was not busy at that time. Unfortunately I think this restaurant has just been around too long for them to be so disorganized and poorly staffed.

   One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Which is a shame because the food was amazing. However the service was beyond horrendous that it took away from the meal itself. The staff was very rude and we waited over 2 hours for our food.

   Horrible experience, this acclaimed restaurant has been around far too long to operate at this poor level. I took my mother and husband there for dinner before a show at Canada Life Centre.... we waited over an hour for our food, had to get our own second drinks, our waiter was extremely rude and the whole place was chaotic and unorganized. When our food finally came, the lasagna was fridge-cold temperature, the steak dinner was cold, and the seafood pasta was CLEARLY undercooked, hence, very dangerous to serve or eat. The Manager was running around like a chicken with her head cut off and couldn't even speak to us, the Owner didn't seem to even care when we got him out and we all left with empty stomachs. Several other tables around us received the same poor quality of service and food, as we all started chatting while we were waiting for some type of acknowledgement from the staff. The Owner did reach out to my husband a few days later, but there was no other communication or delivery of a "coupon" for us. We have been to this restaurant several times over the years and choose to support local independent restaurants over chains, but we will not return.

   Our group of five arrived at 5:15 for a comedy show across the street starting at 7:30. Our server Albert was very polite and knew this was our agenda. Two of our party received their appetizers yet the third one was forgotten and we had to remind our server. It appeared that there were only two servers in the entire restaurant that was filled with people going to the show. We waited over an hour and a half for our food, main dish to arrive and had to hurry and eat so that we could get to the opening act of the show Albert, our server was as attentive as I guess he could be with hardly any servers in the restaurant. I blame this mess on the restaurant itself for not having enough staff on hand nor cooks. I would be very reluctant to return to Lacasa despite the food being Good if they cannot provide you with a relaxing dinner experience and get you to the show on time especially when you’re there 2 1/4 hours early

   Service was amazing! Darling (I hope I’ve got that right) was a joy to have as our server! I lost my wallet and she was so kind and concerned for me! I found it by the way… can’t wait to be back! Great martinis!

    We were a group of 4 in on Saturday Oct 26, 2024, for the dinner and Sammy Jackson show. I have to say that the show itself was delightful, and Sammy was amazing. The place was so busy, and everyone was so close together that the waitress and staff helpers kept hitting your chair, which made it difficult to enjoy the show. We sat down to a reservation for 7:15pm and did not get asked for a drink until close to 8pm. The service this night was awful to say the least and when we approached the owner about what happened we got lots of excuse's and promises. We reached out like he asked us to via phone call and email and still we have not heard back. He is a new owner of this restaurant and has told us that he has only had the place for a few months. That is fine but clearly, he doesn't care about customer service. I wish he had reached out to us.
