Dine on Mexican cuisine with a touch of French flair at La Contenta. Our intimate, fun, cantina-like vibe is wonderful for enjoying a meal after work with friends or with a date.

La Contenta is showcased in numerous publications including The New York Times, Forbes Travel Guide and The Village Voice. We offer happy hour seven days a week, and also serve brunch Saturday and Sunday. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Such an amazing spot! A little hidden from the outside but so worth the trip. Amazing drinks and food and great service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good Mexican food!

La Contenta is really amazing! Great food, fabulous drinks, a small quiet restaurant, and Alejandro makes everyone feel welcome and happy! Everyone - try the Nachos with chorizo. Best in NYC! Can’t wait to try their sister restaurant Vallarta Tropical!

This is one of the friendliest restaurants I have been to in a while. Easygoing and very pleasant service. We were seated near a very large and quite loud birthday gathering in a small dining room so some of our party couldn’t hear conversation at our table. Otherwise food was good and we lingered for a while without being hustled out the door which was nice.

It’s a great place. Love coming here drink’s and food is amazing! Always come here . I Remember when they had their plates of lotería ❤️ i recommend this place!

It’s a small quaint Mexican spot with great drinks and even better tacos. Definitely a great Friday night date spot.

For $17 you should get three tacos not two. Tasty but over priced for what it is.
