   We sat in the patio outside restaurant proper so noise level was lower. But service was fantastic. Food: Caesar salad, French Onion soup, beef bourginon and Steak Diane all flavorful and filling. Our server and clean up crew were great! Great, simple place to eat with really good food.

   Food and service is consistently very good. Lots of options in NYC but this is always on our list when we visit.

   One of, if not the, worst dining experiences of our lives. Nothing came together - the service, the food, etc. Les Escargots was terrible - the butter was dark & there was no evidence of parsley or garlic. The ordered Mousse de Foie Gras was never served. Coq Au Vin was dry & chewy. And, a medium well steak was delivered medium rare & when sent back was returned WELL done. The waiter knew NOTHING about wine. Gave up & ordered house wine. The white wine showed up long after the red wine. Items arrived irregularly at table. Two orders of Creme Brulee showed up at least 10 minutes after 2 other orders of Creme Brulee arrived, all were ordered at the same time. And, the initial 2 orders were warm while the later 2 were cold!

   Posto carino ma molto rumoroso. Cibo, discreto. Dopo un bisqué di aragosta buono, è arrivato un coq au vin non molto appetitoso all’aspetto. Salsa dolce e senza gusto. Piatto pieno e mal presentato.

   If you like good traditional French food, you can find it here. If you want comfort while you eat, it's not here. Having a party of more than one person dine on a small bistro table, sitting in the potted plants, and being bumped by baby carriages trying to get through the aisle is not an experience I've had in any restaurant in France. It's a shame that this distracts from the quality of food and wait service they offer.
