   Much more welcoming and relaxing than we expected. The fix was superb. The drinks fantastic. The service amazing. We imagined some sort of touristic vibe big it was a lot more

   On a very cold evening in Dublin it was lovely to enter such a cosy and warm restaurant. We were seated upstairs at a corner table and it was perfect for a catch up between old friends. Service was excellent and friendly. The menu was explained well and my friend’s needs were catered for. Some lovely bread and olives were brought to nibble on while we waited. My gambas were delicious and plentiful. The French onion soup was warm and nourishing and they catered for my friend who doesn’t eat cheese. Mains were very good also. Portions were big and filling. Nobody opted for dessert but we had coffees. I think we were the last ones in the restaurant but they were so nice and didn’t rush us to finish our drinks. Overall a nice evening.

   Nice ambience and friendly service. Had the scallops for starters and excellent. My wife had gambas and enjoyed as well. We shared the Cote De Boeuf - large serving and cooked to our liking however the meat cut itself was uninspiring. Nice marbling however very sinewy compared to what we would normally associate with the dish. Good choice of wine.

   We went to La Maison in New Year’s Eve. I had some trepidation as I’ve had bad experiences on NYE at other restaurants - “special” menus at rip off prices, hurried service to get a second seating, too many tables jammed in, etc. La Maison, however , was a delight. Excellent service and wonderful food. None of the NYE pitfalls that I feared. Lovely place overall. I recommend it highly.

   Really enjoyed the experience - the service was top notch, and food was all excellent. Lovely friendly ambiance among staff and other diners too. Would definitely visit again.
