Very good food though one seviche tastes Ike any other more or less, heavy on the lime and red onion. No need to get seviche and tiradito plates as a result, they’re pretty much the same. Good grilled whole fish “for 1 -2” but at $109 that’s a new price point! They don’t push the booze which is good to see. Waitress very pushy in food quantities to the extent of insistence we needed more plates ($54 halibut suggestion ordered) resulting in inevitable overordered table, doggie bags and a $500 tab for 3 without wine. We would go back, but order differently and not allow the waitress to dominate the order.

This was my wife and my first time visiting La Mar in Bellevue, but we have been to the original La Mar in Lima, Peru before. Our experience at La Mar Bellevue was outstanding. The decor, ambience, utensils were all impeccable, modern and pristine. If you have visited Peru, you will feel that you’re in Peru. If you have never been, then you will immediately notice the upscale but relaxed nature of this restaurant. The staff was incredibly welcoming and constantly responsive to meet the needs of the customer. The food was out of this world, the fish used in the ceviche creations is ‘melt in your mouth’ tender and the flavors, a mix of traditional and creatively modern. We tried the veal heart anticuchos and strongly recommend, very delicate and tender, no gaminess at all. The grilled octopus was smoky, tender and juicy. All accompanied by one the best potatoes we have ever had. Pisco sour, in any of the offerings, is a must. The prices in the menu are consistent with high quality offerings and by all means reflect the value of the meal. Lastly, a special thank you to Chef Victoriano Lopez for greeting us at our table and graciously posing with us for a memorable picture. Cheers!

Food and service was amazing. My complaints are not really anything that can be addressed lol just observations. The other customers were really loud and was really everyone so maybe expect not such a quiet dinner, and my other one is the music. I felt like I was shopping at Zara with the electro house that was playing all night lol. Not my cup of tea but it wasn't bad music either way. I would have like a calmer atmosphere personally. But regardless of that you can't go wrong with coming here the food was so so good and the staff was also very kind and friendly. Can't wait to come back when I financially recover from that bill 🥲

We had reservations and sat at the bar. Our bartender was truly the sweetest, gave wonderful recommendations (but not pushy), good explanations for foodie questions, had great conversation, and genuine/fun! Service was great, we were well cared for, but wasn’t suffocated (appreciated). We ordered 3 dishes and were SO full by the third. First two dishes were 10/10 (fried eggplant dish, & grilled octopus). Would recommend. Third dish was the pork belly rice w shrimp omelette? Unfortunately SUPER SALTY, & we didn’t enjoy that one. Dessert was 11/10! Got a chocolate cake for my bday, and the cacao Lucuma mousse. Both aren’t too sweet, decadent, flavorful, not too heavy. Was a great way to end the meal! Pricey range, but fun to experience once, or for a nice date-night or bday occasion.

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat, but nothing could prepare me for the delightful journey my taste buds were about to embark upon. We had the Causa Limena, a true testament to Peruvian cuisine! Each bite was a burst of flavor, rich and creamy, perfectly complemented by the tangy toppings. It was an explosion of textures and tastes that left me craving more. And then Tiradito Criollo, which was simply divine. The freshness of the fish was matched only by the vibrant flavors of the accompanying sauce. It was refreshing and savory, leaving my palate dancing with joy. The Lomo Saltado—a fusion of tender beef cooked to perfection with a delightful mix of vegetables, served over fluffy rice. The combination was nothing short of a party in my mouth! Each bite was a perfect harmony of flavors and textures, making it a dish I won't soon forget. We had Empanadas con Aji de Gallina, they were so good that we couldn't get enough! I had the Inca Kola, a nostalgic trip back to my youth. The sweet, almost indescribable flavor paired beautifully with the rich dishes, creating the perfect balance. For dessert, we couldn’t resist trying the Chocolate Cake and Tres Leches con Coco CON SUSPIROS! The sweetness was elevated to new heights with these delectable treats. The Picarones reminded me of my homeland—the perfect blend of flavors that transported me back home. What's even more special is that this was my husband's first experience at a Peruvian restaurant, and he couldn’t believe how amazing the food was. He’s now dreaming of moving to Peru just for the food! All in all, dining at La Mar Bellevue was more than just a meal; it was an event for the senses. Each dish dazzled, each flavor told a story, and we left feeling like we had just experienced a food festival in our own mouths. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Treat yourself to La Mar Bellevue—trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
