   The ceviches, causa and tiradito were fresh and full of flavor. As always, excellent food in a lovely setting on the patio. Great staff and service!

   Have eaten here several times- unfortunately the experience has deteriorated significantly. The food remains excellent, but drinks, appetizers and entrees were all served within 40 minutes - the entrees arrived before we’d even gotten halfway through the appetizers, so a ridiculously poor kitchen timing. When I complained that now there were four dishes crammed into the table, the response was ‘our kitchen is fast!’ This isn’t McDonalds so I’m not sure what that even means, but the overall experience was poor no reason to go back.

   Delightful server. very helpful regarding menu and wine choices. We were new to Peruvian food and tried the tasting menue An excellent way to taste a wide array of flavors. We would recommend this to others new to this seafood preparation style. thank you.

   The food was exemptional. If you love ceviche-this will satisfy your soul. I wanted to drink every drop. if you don't like ceviche-this will make you appreciate eating this delicacy. The meals were great. The drink that I had was really good. The tres leche cake was perfect: not too sweet, not soaking wet, not too rich-amazing. The ambience was nice; we sat outside and it was quite loud. I think if we hadn't sat beside a large table of ~ 15 people, we could have heard each other and our hostess. No fault on anyone but, if you are looking to spend a quiet romantic dinner, ask to sit someone more private.

   After some extensive travel, it was wonderful to return to La Mar! Though the patio was closed for a private wedding, the lively main dining room had a fantastic, buzzing atmosphere. Service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming throughout our meal. The food was, as always, exceptional. We also noticed great updates—new menu, sharp staff uniforms, fresh décor accents, and beautiful floral arrangements. These thoughtful changes enhance an already excellent experience. Can’t wait to try the new dishes on our next visit!
