Lovely restaurant with Bay view from the main dining room. No valet parking but metered street parking was possible with some walk. We ordered a bottle of a white Albariño wine at the recommendation of our server. It was excellent and a perfect accompaniment to a mostly fish oriented meal. We started with the combo ceviche of 3 ceviches. Ceviche is the signature Peruvian dish and we had high expectations. The three ceviches were all tasty but the portions were very small. For $48 we expected at least a sufficient amount to provide a reasonable appetizer for four people. It was not. Everyone else appeared to enjoy their main course. I ordered the halibut. Again a modest portion but properly cooked with a nice salsa. It was accompanied by a gray brown bean paste with no particular flavor. As a larger male, I was left still hungry. I ordered the tropical tapioca dessert to fill the void. It was a small dish of standard tapioca with a little fruit and a dollop of a fruit sorbet. Uninspired. My friend's chocolate/passion fruit bombe appeared much more interesting. Perhaps I just ordered some of the weaker items on the extensive menu. But overall I was somewhat disappointed. For Over $100 per person, it was not the value it should have been.

Not a bad experience but we needed a lot of help with the menu and while the food came out quickly, none of us were overwhelmed with the meals. Average cost was $110 per person (with drinks) - seems a little spendy.

Went there for a soft opening when it first opened to work the kitchen and training the staff, and it is just as great today as it was in 2008! Couldn’t finish the giant octopus so I ate the leftovers for breakfast and it tasted just as good. Amazing go to restaurant where there is something for everyone! And a stunning waterfront restaurant as well. Cheers and enjoy ~

We were here for my wife’s birthday. Food and service were excellent! The black cod was outstanding. One of the best meals we have had in SF.
