First time trying this restaurant on LBK and was pleasantly surprised. Our server, Ben, was attentive and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a glass of wine with our dinner entrees and coffee/cappuccino with our desserts. Our only disappointment was that some of the online menu items we were not available at this time in the restaurant.

Two of us shared a pizza and a salad. Both were delicious and more than enough food for us. Service was excellent. We’ll be back.

A really pleasant surprise to find an authentic Italian restaurant in Longboat Key. We are disappointed so often with Italian restaurants in the US. We visited La Norma twice in our 5 days stay in LBK, which tells you a lot. The pleasant ambience is evident in the background arias heard as soon as you step in, and receive a friendly welcome from the hosts. Ordered a couple of glasses of red; sadly, no SuperTuscan available although included on the menu but the Chianti and Pinot Noir were OK. On our first visit, I ordered the lobster ravioli, which was superb notwithstanding the somewhat disconcerning colour of the ragu. The ravioli was perfectly al dante. My wife has the veal marsala, which was also very good. We followed with generous portions of tiramisu - not too caky, creamy with an appropriate coffee taste. Wonderful. Second visit, I had the spaghetti al pescatora, the quality of which I had not tasted since August when we were in Tuscany. Superb, with really fresh seafood. My wife had the superb veal ravioli in mushroom and truffle oil, spoilt, we thought by the addition of the over large/ overbreaded meatball. And, yes, she finished with the superb tiramisu while I had the equally good canolli. Bravissimo. Great service: friendly, efficient, and timely in an ambient context. Highly recommended. Certainly, would visit again.
