Simply the best. Much with my BFF was heavenly with good food, pleasant server, nice ambiance and no rush to leave.

We love this place. Each of us got fish and/or seafood dishes on this visit. All of the main dishes were great. The bottoms of the caneles were burnt and we only got two, each. I swear it was three the last time I ordered the caneles. It was the first time that's ever happened. Had to dock a star for that, and from the service. They were noticeably overdone and never should have made it to the table that way. Tasted them, and sure enough, the bottoms tasted burnt. We've been to this restaurant literally a dozen times and that's basically the only gripe I've ever had. First World Problems, I know. I'll still order the caneles next time. If they're burnt again, though, I'm sending them back.

Small touches make a big difference. Warm crusty bread. Complimentary dessert for a birthday. Exquisite service and delicious food.

We’ve been customers at laPiquette how from the beginning. . It has always been a memorable experience, but this dinner was extraordinary. Everything was top-notch, especially the service. We will definitely be back again and again and again.

This feels like one of the last, authentic French bistros in town. It’s a bit crammed, very lively, but the food is the star. We had the lentil salad and the merguez main. Both were great and transported me right back to France. The menu is comprehensive and varied. There are so many tempting choices, all expertly executed. I have to say, as delicious as was the meal, the homemade apple tart was the star. Shattering, thin, thin puff pastry, with razor thin apple slices, standing up, slightly fanned out and baked expertly. With a scoop of vanilla ice cream, of course! So often, simplicity is best. I’d come here for that alone.

Always a pleasure to eat here...from the very beginning (glorious crusty bread and olive oil with a bite) to dessert (a generous creme brûlée that was a work of art. Also, and important, I rarely order wine from the list: the house reds and whites always are superb and reasonably priced. My wife adores the duck bread a l'orange and last night I feasted on the maguez sausages. La Piquette brings me back to Paris. Our sincere thanks, Frank Van Riper and Judith Goodman, Washington, DC

Open Table booked our reservation for 4 people. La Piquette refused to seat us inside, saying they had a reservation for only 2 people. Something is broken.

My favorite restaurant in NW DC. Great food, great service. Lots of noise, so I try to sit on the terrace.
