With its cosmopolitan menu and an authentic Italian flavour, the La Trattoria is the perfect place to unwind with family and friends over a steaming bowl of pasta or one of our succulent seafood dishes. The La Trattoria is quickly becoming famous within the Illawarra as a different club dining experience, with large portion sizes of quality meals at very affordable prices. With a dedicated bar and room to comfortably seat more than 300 people, the team in the La Trattoria pride themselves on the quality of their food, cooked and served fresh by our fantastic staff.

Staff professioal, polite and friendly .. It was our Anniversary and requested a booth which we received, it was lovely Ambience was OK it was extremely busy so the noise was expected .....no issues My wife had the Mushroom Risotto which she found a bit bland but edible. I had the grilled Barramundi and prawns (3 to be exact) I've had Barramundi a number of times and always had quite a thick slice ....unfortunately it was filleted extremely thin ....not sure if it was the correct fish ...tasted different.

Unfortunately the service has gone down quite alot at the Frat. There is a rude older man in the bistro who should not be serving customers. My mum went to the bar at 5:29pm and this man didn't serve her because it wasn't 5:30pm. Such an arrogant rude man. Food overall, much better and value is good. Service needs improvement big time.

The food was nice and plentiful, one of our party of 7 didn't receive his food. We asked and were told there was 1 more meal to come, after 20 minutes we checked again and they had forgotten his order, it arrived as the rest of our party were finishing their meal. It was a Friday and very busy though The bar in the restaurant didn't open until 12 and by the time we wanted another drink it had closed again. We had to walk to the main bar. As the restaurant was still busy we felt this was very poor service.

I had made a reservation so expected a reserved table. When I arrived the staff could not find my booking even though I showed the email. My guests and I sat at a shared table. It was very noisy and the ambience of the restaurant was disappointing. We called the Club to complain but never received a follow up call or apology.
