   First time here, met friends for dinner. Husband and I shared the pulpa/octopus, grilled, tender and juicy really cooked to perfection. Our friend had the same appetizer. Next we had the seafood risotto. The risotto was filled with calamari, mussels, clams, and shrimp all perfectly cooked which cant be easy I would imagine but they did a great job. The flavor of the red sauce was really good and not overly done. Friends had the ravioli in a black truffle cream sauce that they raved about. I believe it was one of the specials that evening. The ambiance was low lighting, cozy, but with all the people in the restaurant it got quite loud at times. I cant wait to go back and try more dishes, They have quite an extensive menu making it hard to choose what to order! That's a good thing!

   Today was our first time dining at La Violetta and we will definitely be back. The menu was unique and each course delicious.

   Food and atmosphere are amazing, as are the service and the flexibility of the chef/owner to create a special dish for you. (In this case a Foie gras and Bone Marrow appetizer that was Heavenly.) By far my favorite Italian restaurant in Sarasota.

   Outstanding food and service! Enjoyed the vitello tonnato, and schiacciatina all’italiana appetizer and our entrees were delicious. We had caramelle candy shaped ravioli, tagliatelle al ragout di wagyu and risotto frutti di mare. All outstanding! Federico our waiter was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. He made our evening celebrating a birthday a fun experience.

   LaVioletta has become a second home to us. The staff are all warm and friendly people. We have met many people there and love seeing them time and time again. The food is outstanding! You must try their Wagu Rib Eye!!!!!! Again, thank you for another wonderful evening.
