Waitress had no idea what sherry was. Don’t know if she asked the bartender, but the restaurant has a “full”bar. Wine list, such as it is, remains too limited.

The view is gorgeous. The atmosphere is quite strange. There is an enormous amount of clutter everywhere. When arriving it seems that you walk through their "business office" which is full of junk and very messy. When we left 3 people sat working at their computer and didn't say a word to as we walked out. The grounds have areas of old broken appliances and random items, reminiscent of a junkyard, making it hard to enjoy the ambiance. We were only 1 of 2 tables dining in the restaurant. Service by our waitress was great. The food was fair to good. We stopped counting after our waitress notified us of 5 different food items and 3 beverages that they were out of.

We were there for the HOF weekend. I had the lamb chops. There were only 3 and they were incredibly fatty and tasteless. I probably was able to shave off 7 or 8 actual bitefuls. The chops were $28 dollars and definitely not worth the cost. Service was not great. It took a while for our waitress to recognize us and she disappeared for long stretches. I had to go to the bar to order a beer and, after 15 minutes of waiting, searched her out and asked for our check. Also, the bright lights they have around the dining area attracted literally thousands of bugs. My dining companion and I each caught a mouthful while eating. The bartender was excellent.

The food wasn't bad and the staff were really trying ( they were friendly and attentive) but this place isn't what it used to be. The place needs a big cleaning up. When you walk in the whole front of the place looks like it's being used for storage. The entryway has items just everywhere. It's so bad you can't describe it. There are cats hanging out. There is a wine cabinet along the wall that looks very out of place. In the main dining room there's at least three different types of chairs, captain chairs that were used in the 1970s and 80s, folding wedding chairs and a third wooden chair . There are Christmas lights up around the curtains which are blown in at least three sections. There is furniture that they don't have a need for so it's just pushed into corners. One spot there's a very nice cabinet with the black desk and chair pushed against it and another table pushed up against it also. The deck is covered which is nice but it's covered with some kind a moldy green material that leaks. The lawn down to the lake must be where the action is because there is a large wedding / event tent , gazebo, outdoor bar, fire pit. This must be where the businesses is too. It was very disappointing to see no one there on a Friday night.

There were stray cats in the dining area. My wife and I are both allergic . We were shocked to see animals in the dining area. We asked our waitress to remove them but she said they were strays, not the owner's cat and there wasn't much she could do.

Good overall. A few training and timing issues to resolve (e.g. soup lukewarm) but a lovely setting and friendly staff.
