Welcome to Lala's, an upscale dining experience in the Portage Lakes. We take pride in our exceptional customer service and strive to make each visit more enjoyable than the last. We look forward to welcoming you on your next visit. We recently began opening for lunch Monday through Friday and Monday night dinner. Our most popular dish is the renowned Charred Halibut from Nick Anthes on Main Street. We endeavor to make special occasions memorable for our guests, from beautiful table settings to a special dessert to conclude the evening. During the warmer months, we invite you to enjoy our beautiful patio or cozy front porch. If you prefer a fireplace table, please let us know.

The food was delicious, as usual! We had the mussels appetizer! The sauce was so delicious we brought the extra home! I then had the halibut and my husband had the lamb! Yum!!

The hostess did not appear at the entrance for over 10 minutes. Our server was polite and checked on the table frequently. The drinks and appetizer arrived quickly. The entrees took over 45 minutes to be served. The food was hot and tasted good. A quick apology from the server about the wait time is all we received. I don't expect a free meal but the manager visiting the table to explain the slow service or maybe a comped drink would have been a nice solution. The ambience and food quality will probably give the restaurant another try. I hope the owner or general manager reads this and tries to make improvements .

Atmosphere was not up to standards, from last year. We were celebrating our 10 anniversary, he asked for a private table, indeed the table was nice, but not beside a party with small children. Awful! Never really got to relax, for the prices! Our server was polite, and our order was correct, but he never made small talk or invested in us. And the circling bussers and watering never stopped. Calm down, they were too aggressive for fine dining. We felt rushed and ignored at the same time. Quite the experience. Happy anniversary to us! The franks!

I planned a really special surprise for my date, and the team absolutely nailed it. They handled everything perfectly without making it obvious, and the timing, service, and atmosphere were just spot on. The food was also incredible, and it honestly made the night unforgettable for both of us. Huge thank you to everyone there for making it so easy and for helping create a memory we’ll never forget!

We went on Prime Rib night (Thursday). Prime rib was excellent and the service was excellent too. One of our favorite local places.
