Florida’s only two Michelin star restaurant, and the only two Michelin star Joël Robuchon restaurant in the U.S., L'Atelier Miami of The Bastion Collection is the incarnation of the late Chef Joël Robuchon’s groundbreaking concept, staying true to the original Parisian roots while drawing inspiration from the surrounding city and location in the Miami Design District.

L'Atelier’s name refers to a craftsman’s workshop, emphasizing Chef Robuchon’s hallmark of elevating the simplest of dishes into something extraordinary using pristine ingredients, immaculate technique and abundant creativity. The chef’s counter seating faces directly into the open kitchen, allowing for a dynamic interaction between the chefs and diners, and view into the creative process.

Don’t get me wrong but for the restaurant with 2 Michelin stars i only can say that food was good but not WOW. Also have to say that some staff members were inappropriately behaved as by talking personal issues in front of customers and drinking from wine glass while cleaning..

Amazing dining experience. The food exceeded expectations and was even better than the time before. Our server Christian made the dining experience even more enjoyable. We were given a nice large table. Do not miss trying the beet and avocado dish. It’s definitely on the top dishes I have ever experienced. Will be back!

Our experience was really disappointing. Although the waiter, Giancarlo, was really good and knowledgeable, the food was far from what you expect if you go to a restaurant with two Michelin stars. Only the wine, from the Abbazia di Novacella, was outstanding. We tried the winter menu (185 per person), a three-course dinner (plus dessert) and we were dissatisfied with every single dish.

The food is everything you'd expect from a 2*. The rest was a little off. Menu was overly complicated - pre-fixe option not fixed at all, required opting into about half the courses on it for a fee; seasonal menu just a more restrictive selection of the a la carte (so why even have it?); etc. - and they were out of several items on it. Sommelier's initial recommendation was "choose something you like." Gee, thanks. Service a little bit surly. Couldn't really see any actual food prep from the (gigantic) chef's counter. The overall experience was pleasant but a little disappointing for a 2*. My suspicion is Michelin thumbs the scale a bit for French restaurants.

Good food but extremely rich. Dover some a favorite dish of mine was extremely salty I couldn’t eat it. We sat at the bar facing the kitchen. It was decorated with a clear class shelf for service filled with brown leafed succulents surrounded by shabby moss in different shades of fading. Really not pretty and below par. This is the primary view of the diner.

Very good, but 4 of the items we selected weren’t available. A 2 star restaurant should be able to plan their inventory properly.

An incredible Christmas Eve dinner. The courses and wine pairings we spot on. A wonderful place for a special dinner.
