   Good food but not great. Outside heaters were not working welll on a cool evening and the wait staff cleared the tables while others were still eating. When we mentioned the dry chicken, no accommodation was offered

   Ambiance is incredible and food is very good. Prices are what you’d expect for fine dining experience. Our server was fine but made our experience feel very transactional.

   Unfortunately we were one of the unlucky ones who did not get seated on the patio. We were the only ones seated inside and it felt like we were in timeout. Even though we saw two empty four tops outside the host was rude and wouldn’t change our seating. We were even there a few minutes before our reservation and folks who came a few minutes after us were seated on the patio. While in the dining room we waited at least 10-15 minutes for someone to see us. Again we felt like we were in timeout. After our server arrived we waited again between the next time we saw him. We made sure we ordered everything we wanted the next time we saw him. His service improved as the night went on. We also noticed another couple being seated in the “timeout” dining room and they promptly left. The guests were brought we fine being seated inside since they walked around the outside patio to find us and noticed how loud it was. I realize when booking at Lavender they note that patio seating is not guaranteed, but we literally were the only ones seated indoors and felt very isolated from everyone outside. Also annoyed that we saw two empty four tops on patio after we were seated and one of the four tops was given to 2 people not four. This definitely ruined my evening but grateful my guests were content. I hope in the future when making a reservation guests can choose indoor or outdoor seating like at other restaurants. This would prevent this type of isolation and prejudice by the hostesses seating. On another note the bar seen afterwards was fun. The singer in there was great and played fun music.

   Lavender is one of our favorites, mostly because the patio is so pretty and festive. Service this time was very good and the ambiance was great. The food was good but not stellar considering the hefty price. The short ribs needed a bit more sauce and the spinach that came with the pork chop was cold. But the person in our party who ordered the chicken enjoyed it. Cocktails were well made. The “no corkage” on Sunday nights is a nice option.

   This is a must on your dining list! We had a large dining party, many different orders, and everything was delicious prepared in a timely manner, and served consistently with all of our guest. We will definitely be back!

    All good except it was cold. Heater near us was not working well. Apparently they did not have another to bring over.
