   The menu/pricing is fantastic. The service needs to improve so that the entire order comes out together but, it's a great experience on the river. The clam chowder & crabcakes are outstanding.

   A little disappointed. We have eaten at other Legal Seafood locations (Boston, RI, PA, DC) and have enjoyed their food. In particular, we liked the gluten free fish and chips (my wife has Celiac). This location (Chicago) has wonderful ambiance and the wait staff was young, but attentive. My haddock was very good, and the clam chowder was as good as always. My wife did not like her fish and chips. The breading seemed soggy and had no crispness to it. Not sure if the recipe is the same or they cook it differently at Chicago location. Not sure if we'll be back.

   The clam chowder was wonderful. The scallops scampi had an unpleasant taste. I returned it. The view from my table was awesome!!!!! The prices are quite high. I expected that. It was very chilly!

   It was a Monday night and the restaurant was very quiet, yet our server disappeared for long periods when we wanted to order drinks or food. The butter poached lobster roll was very good but disappointed me when it was served only lukewarm, like it was kept in a warmer. Wine prices were high at $21 a glass. Improve the attentiveness and quality of the service, serve hot food, and offer some wine specials and you could have a hit here.

   I was excited to see they opened a Legal Seafood here, as I loved it when I lived in Boston. The food is still decent, but they fell short on the ambiance and the service. Right over my shoulder they left a broom and dust pan for my husband to stare at, he had to ask them to move it. I ordered their "Signature Bloody Mary" and the waiter returned 10 minutes later to tell me that they didn't have tomato juice. Huh? Your signature drink? After we ordered, they brought me the wrong order, it was quickly corrected and we were offered a free dessert for the mistake, that was nice.

   Food took about 35 minutes for it to arrive. My son (whose birthday we were celebrating), ordered a lightly toasted grilled cheese. Once he received it, it was almost borderline burnt. Asked the server if it could be remade. She politely replied, of course. About 10 minutes later it came out, but it came out exactly the same way it came out the first time (not lightly toasted)! By that point we had been waiting for his food to come so we could all eat together so we didn’t bother saying anything and we didn’t want the food to get cold.

    Our visit to Legal Seafood was disappointing. I used to always go to Legal Seafood when I was in Boston for business and loved it. We expected great seafood but the seafood was okay but not exceptional. All of the cooked items arrived lukewarm and just ordinary...nothing special. Service was sporadic, at the beginning we were asked if we were ready to order every five minutes and later it was hard to get ahold of our server. The dining room and view were okay but also nothing special. It seemed more like a touristy place than a fine restaurant. We wish them well but will not be returning.
