Me and my friend had a delightful experience at Leila today. This is my second time at this restaurant and I highly recommend it. I love all CH Projects’ restaurants for the story they are telling, for the attention to detail, for the overall elevated experience and how the ambiance uplifts my energy. Leila is also special, because its decor is so unique, but it doesn’t look “plasticy”, amusement park type of unique, where if you look closely, it’s all cheaply made. Here everything was thought through, the details were amazing, the creek running through the restaurant, the black ceiling with pinhole lights that look like stars, the hot tea in the beginning of the meal, beautiful lanterns, rugs, velvety fabrics - it was all so immersive! We ordered Steak Kabob Shishlik and Joojeh Chicken - both were 10 out of 10, tasty, very soft and flavorful. From appetizers I recommend Chicken Shawarma Hummus. Dessert was phenomenal, my friend didn’t want to order at first and then when he tried mine he decided to go for it, it was so good. I should also mention that the service was great! Pro tip: when reserving through open table, look for tables for 4 people or more, because the restaurant has more of those and less tables for 2 people. Also, you can put a special request in the comments section, which I recommend using. If reserving a table for 2 or 4, and if you want to sit in the most picturesque area, mention: please give us a table under the big tree. The second floor has nice seating too, but main beauty is on the first floor.

Very cool atmosphere. Food is good but portions are really small. The waiters are very pushy and makes it uncomfortable

This was my third visit here and everything still felt as magical as my first visit. Ordered the Soltani Platter, added extra Steak Kabob on the side and had the Chicken Shawarma Hummus with extra Naan and the Tuna Tabbouleh for appetizers. Everything was amazing and fed all 5 of us without feeling hungry afterwards. Highly recommend Leila without hesitation. It’s not only appealing to the eyes, it also satisfies the taste buds. Cocktails were different but tasty and they will substitute to your alcohol of choice if you’ll like. It’s was busy as usual so it takes a minute for the server to come around but with great company and cocktails, it’s not that bad. Overall still love this place and will keep coming back.

Leila is hands down one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been to in San Diego. The ambience is absolutely stunning, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for a special night out. The music they played added to the experience, making it even more enjoyable. It took about a month to get a reservation for my party of five, but it was definitely worth the wait. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, the waiters were incredibly attentive and took the time to go over the menu in detail. We started with the Salatim Bread Platter. For our mains, we ordered the Soltani Kabob Platter and the Salmon Skewer, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, the ingredients fresh, and the portions generous. By the end of the night, we all left happy, satisfied, and full! If you’re looking for a restaurant with a breathtaking ambience, excellent service, and incredible food, Leila is a must-visit. Just be sure to book your reservation well in advance!

Meal was awesome! Food 10/10. Only reason it was not all 5s is it took 15 minutes for our waitress to come greet us/take our orders.

I’m surprised how people gave very bad reviews after I go to dinner. I didn’t like beef skewers much but it wasn’t bad taste, it’s like not special for me but beef kebab and meze platter was so good! My drink was ehh too, but bread and tapas and beef kebab and ambience and service was so good! Our serves was fantastic, place is pretty and authentic and music nice. I will go again with my girlfriends to try other dishes!

It is very good and just like the pictures. Unfortunately I was disappointed that it took me almost 4 months to get a reservation for my husband and I (it seems as though they prefer larger parties) and we were seated at a shaky table in the middle of the upstairs room that was so tiny it couldn’t even fit the food we ordered which was not a lot….probably the worst table in my opinion. Save the grief of stressing over the reservation and sit at the bar…its first come first serve and the bar upstairs was empty when we left.
