   From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the incredible experience. The service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely mouthwatering! Everything about the place, from the fancy entrance to the cozy bathroom, was simply amazing. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy this delightful ambiance again!

   This charming tea house has only been open for four months, so it's still working out some kinks. However, the owner is very accommodating and the atmosphere at this gem is incredible. We had a relaxing afternoon drinking tea, chatting and enjoying brunch. The desserts are wonderful and the food is excellent and worth the wait. I have no doubt that over time, Lily's and Elise will be enjoying a regular clientele of folks that don't mind taking their time to enjoy a lovely afternoon. This was my second time and I know I will be back again.

   It took 3 hours for high tea service for 3 people You can only get 1 pot of tea on your table at a time, which makes your stay longer. We had to constantly request things, like water, sugar, creamer. These should be on the table either before you sit down or right after you sit! I felt bad for the larger parties because their wait was even longer! I wish I could get my money back but you have to prepay! Sad to say I will not be back! Going back to Purple Door Tearoom, which has much better service!

   Lily's & Elise is a beautiful establishment. The ambience and food definitely 5 stars. During the visit it was very busy. The hostess staff worked diligently to ensure our table was taken care of. We did have a bit of a wait. However the staff was very apologetic and courteous. Loved the selection of teas. Tried the hibiscus and the guava green tea both were delicious. We enjoyed the experience and encourage others to check out this establishment. Will visit again.

   I took my best friend here for her birthday and it absolutely did not disappoint! Every single thing was amazing! The teas were delicious and the soups and sandwiches were beyond fresh and delicious as well!!!! The server was so soft spoken and kind.. and very prompt! I will be back with my daughter. 💕 Get here as soon as possiblr!

   Beautiful ambience- feeling like being back in Paris. The food was delicious and customer service was great. The manager Anna was amazing. It was a honor meeting the owner and chef. Definitely plan to visit again in the future!

   We LOVED the tea sommelier. She was amazing, so knowledgeable, animated, and clearly loved what she does. She should be giving talks at events. The service was just okay. The people working there were very kind, but we received our first pot of tea, drank it, then waited an hour before our food came. Once it arrived, they asked us what other tea we wanted...so we ate all of our food with no tea. I like a slow pace, but this was a little beyond slow. The food was fine, but they should take scones off the website if they aren't going to serve them. The tea selection is AMAZING and the ambience is lovely, I'm sure they are just working out the kinks and it's only going to get better and better!

   What a delightful time we had at this charming tea and hand-crafted food spot in our neighborhood. It is filled with light, friendly patrons, and attention-to-detail staff. The assortment of teas is impressive, and includes specialty "tea blossoms" presented in a glass tea pot, so you can watch the unfolding of the leaves and petals of the flower. Food is carefully prepared and there is a nice variety. A welcome addition, with a relaxed vibe, in the University District of Detroit. Thank you!
