For years, Lino Pertusini, owner of Osteria D'Assisi, wanted to do justice to pizza in this country. So when the opportunity to open Pizzeria & Trattoria Da Lino presented itself, he jumped at the chance to create authentic wood oven pizza from the freshest ingredients available. In addition, Lino's son Alexander, Zymurist, offers handcrafted small-batch brews at the new Chili Line Brewing Co., specializing in smoked beers.

One block from the Santa Fe Plaza on Guadalupe Street offers a full menu of pasta, salads, gelato, extensive wine, and beer produced on-site. Gluten-free and vegan options are available.

Lunch at Lino’s was fabulous. The minestrone soup and all their pizzas are great. The tiniest crust and great ingredients on top. Had their strawberry Panna Cotta for dessert and it was luscious and such great flavor.

My reservation time was 6:15pm, my party did not sit down until 6:40pm. To be fair it was restaurant week so it was busy. Still expected to be sat at 6:30 pm or earlier. Only one host and he was also dealing with to go orders and bar. The service was awful. Our server was very rude and I could tell he was busy. I’ve been a server before and when a customer asks questions I expect a polite answer. Instead my server was rushing to get to the next table and took over 40 minutes to get my drink. My dinner came after everyone else in my party finished their dinner. Not sure if that was the kitchens fault or my server’s fault. The food was delicious. Compliments to the chef and kitchen staff for the delicious food. I know how hard it is to make everyone happy on any given night. The only true complaint was bad service. Everything else is understandable.

Service was horrible and food was disgusting and unseasoned. A lean cuisine pasta in the microwave tastes better than the pastas here. We ordered a bottle of wine and she didn’t even bother to open it up for us.
