We had such a lovely dinner at Lionne, good food, beautiful atmosphere and an awesome server Aaliyah. Aaliyah helped me navigate the menu with my allergy and was diligent throughout the evening to make our experience a great one. She was sweet, bubbly and I would recommend asking to dine in her section.

The Lionne is a beautiful restaurant but unfortunately the food does not live up to the elegant surroundings. Our server was nice and attentive. Silverware and glasses dirty, with spots and residue (maybe soap from the dishwasher). If you’re going to advertise yourself as a fancy spot with very expensive food, you’ve got to be shining the silverware and cleaning finger prints off your wine glasses. From a lobster bisque that was so salty it was inedible to stringy scallops, to a chocolate cake with no flavor, the Lionne was disappointing unfortunately. So much potential in such a beautiful space if the food were greatly improved.

We ordered the Scallops with Crabmeat and the Salmon and both were delicious.

We had a reservation for 9 people. Our order was taken, but when our food arrived, only 4 plates were ready. We assumed that the others would be right behind. However, the remaining plates came out sporadically and the final plate came out when most of the other people were done eating. While they did take that last plate off the bill, the staggered food delivery was definately a failure in the kitchen -- especially since this was all breakfast food which is generally fast turnover. Also, staff seemed preoccupied with the food mixup, so no refill of water or other beverages was offered. Finally, other staff members started clearing the adjacent tables and resetting for lunch which made us feel like we had overstayed our welcome. Being local to the area, we definitely want Lionne and the rest of the Nittany Lion Inn to succeed, but early returns are not so hot.

I’m sorry to hear about your disappointing experience, especially with a larger group. It sounds like there were a few timing and service issues that affected your meal. I’m glad you’re still rooting for the Nittany Lion Inn, though—your feedback is really helpful for their improvement. If you’re open to it, sharing your thoughts directly with the restaurant could make a big difference as they continue to adjust. I hope your next visit is much smoother! Please feel free to reach out to speak with the Rest General Manager. We are continuously trying to improve our breakfast experience it is only a week old so we are certainly working to improve those experiences.

We ate at Lionne twice - once for a late Friday dinner and once for breakfast Saturday morning. I hadn't eaten at the Nittany Lion Inn since the University owend it, so a while before it was Lionne. We were all sad that the buffet hasn't come backl yet, since it was always good. Our service Friday night was very good and the food was excellent. The menu was a bit annoying. It listed a bunch of beers - most of which were NOT available. Our waitress had to go to the bar to get a list of what was ACTUALLY on tap when a couple people in our party kept asking for things that were not. When she listed them, she mentioned a sour beer (which was NOT on the menu) that I ended up ordering. I think a sheet of paper printed daily that lists the beers that are actually available or a note on the menu telling you to ask for daily beer selections would be smarter than the list on the menu being completely incorrect. I don't like most beers, but I like most sour beers and I really enjoyed the beer I got, but would have had NO clue it was available if everything my partner and father ordered hadn't been unavailable. Not a great system. Breakfast Saturday was delicious also, but the service was really bad. We had a friend join us who only wanted water and it took forever for him to get it. Getting refills was also difficult for those of us who did get food and wanted more water. We were never asked if we wanted more juice, though I think the answer would have been no for all of us. Very disappointing - especially when compared with my previous experiences there where the water glasses were filled almost immediately. The booths are also pretty small.... We had a couple larger people in our party and we were hitting knees with each other - we had to organize it so the guys sat in certain places and still be careful. The next morning, we requested a non-booth table.

Unfortunate to find out that despite valet parking at the hotel they had no space for the restaurant patrons, just hotel guests. So had to use Inconvenient parking garage for the parking. At least 10 minutes away.

This was a marvelous discovery and we're so happy we got to visit. Our server was outstanding, as good service as we've ever had anywhere, and the food was excellent too.

This was probably one of the best meals we’ve ever had! The cocktails, wines, scallops, veal chop, chocolate cake with housemade gelato were all superb! Our waitress Abbie was perfectly lovely and helpful! We will definitely be coming back! Fantastic date night with hubby!

Amazing— the food was incredible, the service was outstanding, and the ambience was ideal. The menu is a little pricey, but the food was so good it didn’t matter.
