Been coming here for some time and had consistently excellent service and food. On this occasion we sadly felt disappointed. Service was erratic and we had to wait some time for drinks and courses. I appreciate and understand that it was very busy being a bank holiday weekend, but we’ve been during very busy times before and service and quality of food had in the past had always remained excellent. My sea bass was very fresh and very well cooked as usual. However, my husband usually orders the cod cheeks and chips which he loves, but this time the portions seemed smaller and this was noticed by both of us. Also, it was not hot, suggesting it wasn’t served straight away as usual. I hope standards are not going to start slipping in this amazing place on the beach.

Very good . Great food & drink However two of our party felt the eggs were not hot due the ‘designer’ cold metal plates . We booked based on the advertised ‘bottomless brunch’ but had to ask for that menu . It’s on the website but clearly wasn’t being offered if you walked in and didn’t know about it . Why ? Also it’s a two course menu and none of the second courses were available . It reverted to the more restricted a la carte second courses . Service could be ramped up a bit .. Perfectly good but not overly warm .

Would have given 5 stars but the starter of 4 small scallops was expensive for the small amount of food. However, all of the food was delicious.

We had a most enjoyable dinner. My 2 companions were first-time visitors and very much enjoyed their meal.

Great restaurant with better food than some higher profile venues in Folkestone. We will be happy to return in the future as the fresh fish is so perfectly cooked. Service was very good as usual and the view across the beach is unbeatable.
