The hosting staff were so welcoming and courteous. The atmosphere of the hotel and the piano player were also very nice. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The service was quite slow though and it was hard to track down our waitress. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would recommend the afternoon tea experience for a special occasion.

I wouldn’t have been so harsh in my rating had I not left a note on my reservation that we needed to leave an hour after our reservation to make it to the opera at 7:30pm. Several times I had to wave down servers to take my order and eventually had to get up to order something instead for me and my guest. At the time of placing my order I asked that the bill be brought at the same time because we had to leave soon, I had to additionally ask 3 more times for my bill to be brought to the table after they delivered our food. Eventually I had to wave down the waiter for our bill so aggressively that I was getting looks from other tables, I was about to get up again had I not caught someone’s attention. This is the Shangri-La, no? How on Earth was this an acceptable service for the evening.

Slow service when it got busy as there were only 2 waitresses. Otherwise afternoon tea was great and the experience was great.

I’m very disappointed that the thematic was still Christmas. We’re a month ahead, it doesn’t make sense. Food was not satisfying, mostly not for the price. Feels like a joke, really disappointed.

Great food, drinks and service but it appears that hotel guests are using the area as their kids playroom/daycare with no rules reinforced whatsoever. I won’t be returning.
