   A great place to eat on a cold winter night. The fireplace, cozy lighting, and live piano created the perfect atmosphere. We had the hot honey quail, duroc pork and risotto. All delicious! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive without being over bearing.

   I’ve eaten here many times and it always delivers. Our food was great and our server was excellent, she really enjoys her job. The ambience was magical especially with the snow outside and the ice sickles. The fireplace was roaring and the pianist and upright bass player rounded out the special evening.

   This was our second experience at Log Haven. The Starters & Entrees were fabulous. I had the Porcini Crusted Filet which was so tender and full of flavor. Everyone else at the table also had the same reaction after having a sample. The small plate of the Alpine Nachos (which the category of small plate is deceiving since the plate was plentiful) is one of my favorites. I believe the only downfall would be the Milk Chocolate Ganache Tart. Could not really taste the chocolate (tasted more like caramel) and the crust was doughy. Otherwise, the food and service was wonderful and will definitely return the next time in Salt Lake City.

   This is one of the best dining experiences in Utah. We have been coming here for years and never have a disappointing experience. We love the bison and elk - the coconut banana soufflé is a must have for dessert. We have been lucky to have Jeremy multiple times as our server, who always provides a five star experience, but all of the staff are exceptional. We look forward to our next visit!

   Extremely poor quality food. The Tuna Tataki and Wasabi Cured Salmon were served cold and very bitter tasting. Relying on lemon juice and salt to salvage any flavor for these dishes. For the experience they advertise so well it’s entirely disappointing to be greeted with bad food and bad attitude from the staff. 0 out of 5 stars if I were able to.

   Everything was cooked and presented well. The wait staff were attentive overall good value. Enjoyed having a great bass and piano Jazz duo.

    My wife and I went out for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was nice to get off the beaten path up the canyon and the building is beautiful with lots of rich history. Our server (Elise), which I remember because it is my favorite car, was attentive, kind and being a dancer... floated around the restaurant. The food is a little on the pricier side, but every dish is very unique and full of flavor. Did not try the wines, but did have a beer. The ambiance was wonderful, until a group of loud business folk were seated next to us.... but it provided interesting eaves dropping and spurred conversation. We met another couple as we were leaving. Turns out that they were from Boston and had a house just miles from a relative of ours. Long story short, great food and service. And double bonus... no cell service so everyone is engaged and learning how to communicate again.
