Waterfront restaurant Lokal Eatery & Bar is the newest addition to Jersey City’s revitalized dining scene. Keeping to its namesake, the restaurant incorporates fresh and locally sourced ingredients from the Garden State. The beverage menu boasts an extensive wine and craft cocktail program. Lokal has a large bar area, several private dining spaces and floor to ceiling windows providing panoramic, jaw dropping views of the Manhattan skyline. The spectacular dining space on the Hudson River has an open-air patio as well.

Great views, service, and ambiance. That’s what your paying for. Food is fine, I ordered the chicken, it was the smallest piece of chicken thigh (the cheapest part of the chicken) I’ve ever seen for $25. I guess they’re cutting cost where they can.

Fantastic view, beautiful bar but the food is terrible. Best to go there for drinks and dinner elsewhere. Food was bad quality, tiny portions yet pricey.

Loved it. Scenery was beautiful, the food was wonderful and the waitress Jen was exceptional. We had a limit of 90 minutes but stayed a little over two hours and enjoyed every bit of it. We will certainly be back. Everyone was friendly from the moment we walked in, they knew exactly what we wanted and the drinks were top shelf.

Everything about this restaurant was amazing; the staff was extremely pleasant, the food and drinks were amazing. Our waiter Devlin was wonderful, open to suggestions (everything he suggested was amazing) he was attentive and always made sure that we were ok. I will most certainly be back to this establishment and I hope that Devlin is my server.

Fantastic service! Celebrated my friends birthday. This is the perfect place for intimate celebrations. Our waitress and the hostess were amazing! Thanks again !

Pros -Amazing views - Service was very good Cons -Food is way over priced and portions are extremely small -Parking you have to pay to park cost me $21 for 2 hours - typically of JC waterfront though so expected -Bathroom was clean but had no towels or air dryers to dry your hands

Amazing experience even during COVID times. Staff was friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating. Best part was that spacing between groups was comfortable and all precautions were taken. The bartending was incredible - I highly recognized the Elliott Stubb cocktail and the Espresso Martini! Food was excellent as well with a lot of Vegan and Vegetarian friendly options. Dessert recommendation - Tiramisu!
