Our server, Reed, was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was good. If you are looking for a good cocktail, this is not the place. I'd recommend ordering wine or beer. The restaurant itself is very noisy and the tables are extremely close together. If you are looking for any kind of privacy, and/or intimacy, this is not the place.

Have dined many many times at Long Island Cafe. The food is always delicious. However, this time, we were crammed into a small table on the back wall within inches of other tables. So close together that the server had to talk over my shoulder and the same when our food came. Did not enjoy the experience.

Overall was a great experience. Lindsay was an outstanding server. Food was delicious however the filet that was ordered medium rare came out almost well done. It was not returned because we had already waited sometime for our food and to recook would have been even longer to wait. We will return, the only glitch was the filet being over cooked.

This is our 4th Winter in IOP. Long Island Cafe was our favorite restaurant on the island when we first came, but seems to have declined a bit. Service and atmosphere is still very nice. The restaurant seems to still be popular, because the dining room was full on a Monday night. But unfortunately, we were disappointed in our meals.
