Long before the farm-to-table trend invaded America, Louisa’s espoused this philosophy, and served food to match. The tiny-but-iconic eatery was established in 1980 and has been dishing out incredibly fresh and delicious food in the small historic yellow building ever since. The menu is all regional fare — fish caught from the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay, plus vegetables, fruits, herbs (and beautiful fresh flowers) from West Cape May’s Beach Plum Farm, augmented by produce from other New Jersey farms.

The kitchen philosophy is to cook simple, expertly seasoned dishes that are lovingly prepared and made from fresh, first-rate ingredients. The menu changes often but the one constant you’ll find here is the dedication to a great dining experience.

Amazing dinner! The swordfish and salmon were so fresh, the side salad was delicious, and the staff was exceptional. Be sure to check out the restroom for a “whale” of a surprise!

Great food & service, reasonable prices. It’s not a big place and diners just need to be aware of the close quarters. Most of the “tables for 2” are only about 2 feet apart.

The food was not as expected. It was very bland and boring. The cabbage slaw had no dressing. The brown rice was not seasoned. Just very disappointed in the quality and the cost of these mediocre dishes.

Very personalized, excellent local farm/sea to table menu choices- house made desserts-YOU CANT MAKE A BAD CHOICE! I will eat here everytime we are in Cape May!

Wonderful as usual! We were so happy they were still open this late in the season. Have been coming for over 30 years. Never disappoints!
