Lovers Seafood and Market is the second concept from Tracy Rathbun and Lynae Fearing, the partnership that produced the local favorite Shinsei.

In an age where independent, neighborhood, specialty shops are virtually extinct, Lovers Seafood and Market is committed to the principles of personally providing our community exceptional quality, fair pricing, and excellent service.     Have eaten here multiple times. Each time we come the menu, the food, the service, and the surroundings are exceptional. That is why we keep coming back. Lots of tasty options for those who are not fish lovers too. Great cocktails and reasonably priced wine list too.

    This was my first time at this restaurant & I thought it was a fun & festive experience. The ambiance was incredible, the hostesses & wait staff were friendly & very attentive. Our appetizer and dinner was really good. I ordered the rainbow trout, it was somewhat blackened.. not sure if it was the seasoning or the way it was cooked. I also had the key lime pie for dessert & I loved it! Cocktails are a little pricey. Loved listening to the live music near our table. I hope to come back soon & try some different entrees.

    Arrived at 604 for dinner, seated fast. Ordered an old fashion to start which took 10 minutes to arrive. Wife then ordered a drink and tuna tower at same time. Drink took 20 minutes appetizer took longer. Tables seated after us got food and checked out faster. Food then came out after about an hour and 10 minutes. Ordered second drink and came after 10 minutes. Too many kids in the place. Used to be a place I took dates to but wouldn’t anymore as ambience is off. Checked out at 740. 1 appetizer, 3 drinks, 2 enters. No complaints on food as shrimp and grits always hit, tuna tower always top notch. Will stay away for a bit.

    Consistently great food and so glad that all of our favorites continue to shine no matter the day or time for those visiting guests that we brought along to show off 'where we like to go'. Crispy coconut shrimp, Smoked Salmon, Halibut, Cajun Fries, smores pie - all staples.

    There were too many tables crammed in front room and hostess did not seat anyone on the sides. We were inches close to all other tables even though you had open tables. It was very uncomfortable having any type of private conversation since we were in the middle surrounded by 6 tables within inches. Need to remedy that. Was very awkward. The hostess should have spaced all parties out at different tables near windows, etc versus putting all of us in the middle since there was room everywhere.

    Service was acceptable, the atmosphere was fairly quiet and pleasant, the tuna tower was wonderful and the salad was also excellent, but the dessert was just so so. Bread pudding was just unremarkable so that contributed to my four star review rather than a five star.

    This restaurant used to be wonderful. We dined last night and while service was personal and great, the food was dry, overcooked, small portions and overpriced. My food arrived late, after my partner had finished his - the server explained the kitchen had forgot it. Oh ok. We paid our $200 bill and wished we’d gone to Fish Shack, and won’t be returning.
