Chef Frank Bonanno dug into his Sicilian heritage and east coast roots to create this authentic, rustic Italian eatery. Luca has amazing personal touches from the daily made breads and pastas to the meats and cheeses cured in house, to the charcoal drawing of Bonanno’s son (and the restaurant’s namesake) that hangs in the dining room. Luca is heartwarming and satisfying from the wood-fired pizzas to the hand-rolled pastas to the perfectly seared proteins. It’s not your ordinary pile-of-pasta-and-sauce Italian joint; it’s the real (and tasty) deal.

    Restaurant was extremely cold! Yes, it was 10 outside but it wasn’t much warmer inside. The bathrooms were frigid and there was ZERO HOT WATER! This really killed the evening.

    Food and service were inconsistent. Restrooms were practically unheated (in January). Ambiance was not impressive. Old Luca was great; this is a shadow of what it was. Feels as though the business is suffering and we are seeing the impact in the overall experience.

    Overall, a great night at Luca. I hadn’t dined there since before the pandemic and I was pleased to see that it’s the same old place. I loved before. We ordered classic Negroni’s to start and they were delicious. another diner at our table ordered the Negroni Rosetti, which he said he enjoyed. The server offered complementary Prosecco, which we accepted. The wine was of a very low quality. my wife didn’t finish hers. We shared a gem salad, which was delicious but small to begin with so I wish we had each ordered our own. The entrées we ordered or chicken parmigiana, pasta Bolognese, and the lobster pasta in red sauce. Everyone cleaned their plates. They brought out chocolate mousse with hazelnuts on top as a finisher. That was a yummy end to an overall outstanding.

    We stopped here on our way from the Denver airport on our way to Breckenridge ski resort. And so glad we did! Food was outstanding and so was the service! Highly recommended Luca!

    Adam is an incredible server. He was patient, helpful, and very responsive to our needs. One of our party was vegan and gluten free. He had the chef make her a delicious perfect pasta. He brought me a taste of the wine before I ordered it, split the check for us with no problems, and walked my injured friend’s leftovers to her car (she was on crutches). Add to that the amazing manicotti, flavorful scallops, rich mushroom fusilli, and perfect tiramisu, and you have a fantastic meal.

    Went to Luca for an anniversary dinner. The highlights: wonderful, attentive server. Complimentary Prosecco, easy parking (street parking and paid lot), and a lovely atmosphere. The burrata we ordered as an appetizer was great, and came with warm bread. They also subbed in gluten-free bread on request. I ordered the braised short rib. It was good, but the food was warm, not hot. The other meal, Quattro Formaggi Manicotti was incredible, and clearly fresh out of the oven. It made for an uneven dinner experience. The panna cotta was also great. I had seen great reviews about Luca’s staff making celebrations special, particularly for birthdays and anniversaries. We didn’t see any difference in our experience (we did note the anniversary when booking), but it was still a nice experience. A couple of minor adjustments would take this from a good dinner to a great one.

    We had an overall excellent experience including the knowledgeable and attentive waitress, ambiance and the food! The homemade pasta’s are exceptional. We will definitely be back.
