   The food was very authentic German cuisine and generous portions. Excellent service and our food came out quickly. Would have been great to sit outside, but too cold. Would highly recommend.

   Not as great as I remembered, but still decent. The mushroom gravy was not as flavorful and did not care for the red cabbage. The potato salad was great. Spaetzle has improved but still needs a bit more salt or some butter to give it some flavor. Consistency was better. The room was great and service excellent. Would definitely come back as I have some great memories here.

   We were at Ludwig’s during Leavenworth’s Oktoberfest. It’s basement restaurant which adds to the atmosphere which is Bavarian but not kitschy. Of course there was a German band that also added to the “feel”. I ordered the house specialty, SCHWEINSHAXN, a massive roasted ham hock that was prepared perfectly but really should be billed as a “shared” item - it comes with shears LOL! The waitress was wonderful and even gave me extra beer to fill my Leavenworth beer stein. All in all a proper German experience!

   Have eaten here in past and expected another pleasant experience. Food was dry and overcooked badly. Schnitzel was like leather, smoked pork was thin and dry. Spaetzel was ok but overall very dissappointed. Never again!

   Our server, Dylan, was extremely attentive and took great care of our table even amongst a dinner rush. The food that she recommended was served hot and fresh from potato salad to schnitzel to spaetzle and poutine. We enjoyed every bite. Also, We tried a non-alcoholic imported German beer that tasted exactly like the real thing.

   We were told by a local that this was the best German food in town. Either that person has a sense of humor and played a trick on us, or they really don't know good German food. Our food was dried out, literally. The schnitzel were like 2 bricks, the chicken was desiccated, the hot cabbage was luke warm, the schnitzel was spicy (really?), and the cucumber salad was more watery cream than anything else. The only saving grace was our server, who was hustling, yet had time to be pleasant to us. She got a "5". This server deserves a better place to work. The person who was at the front door was sullen and never said a word to us, even when we greeted her and told her we had a reservation for 2. We never thought we would leave a German restaurant hungry, but we did. Would not recommend, even to someone we didn't like.

   We had a reservation but did not get seated until 20 min after our reso. The potatoes and spaetzle were served cold, but our server brought out hot potatoes to replace. The schnitzel was dry so we asked for more gravy to dip every bite into. The seats are hard and not comfortable. We wont return to this restaurant.

   The food was fantastic! Ordered the plate for 6 with a variety of everything. Fed 7 people with 2 boxes of leftovers to take home. Really enjoyed the live polka band and the opportunity to get up and polka dance! Highly recommended place to eat and have a really great time!
