Luke is a Creole-inspired Brasserie located in the heart of New Orleans’ Central Business District on world-famous St. Charles Avenue, steps from the French Quarter neighborhood. A lively atmosphere surrounds the raw bar offering the freshest seafood and oysters procured daily from the Gulf of Mexico. Chef Erick Loos is at the helm of the kitchen featuring dishes that highlight local purveyors and farmers’ market ingredients.     Our experience had some highs and lows, but I’m not sure I’d give them another shot. The staff was sweet and friendly, but our entire entree order was forgotten and later, a second drink order was forgotten. The appetizers were delicious and the beet salad was a treat. The steak and fish entrees were a miss though. Steak was blackened burnt and well done, though it was supposed to be medium-well. The fish was bland and unseasoned. The bistro chairs were also pretty uncomfortable by the time we got our meals. Unfortunately, for the prices charged, it just ended up being disappointing experience.

    They have an incredible happy hour at Luke’s, including half-price, cocktails, wine, beer, and local gulf Oysters  in a friendly atmosphere with great service!

    Food was very good, though shareable plates were so large that even though we couldn’t even manage an entree, they were still too much! Nice and relatively reasonable wine list.

    Thank you to the chef, you knocked it out of the park. I had the beet salad with Fried Jumbo Shrimp w/ Ranch dressing. Curtis and Nicole thank you for making it a pleasant evening. Both very kind and thoughtful to our table of 4 adults. Entire staff was welcoming.. great team.. Thank you for the upmost generosity.

    Luke never disappoints! We have been many times and have yet to have anything that wasn’t absolutely delicious. From the appetizers, to the entrees, to the desserts, truly amazing food. It is a must stop for us anytime we come to New Orleans.

    Waiter did not describe dish correctly in response to my question. They left our dirty appetizer plates when they brought entrees. Portion of duck in meal was very small.
