   Waited 30 min for our drink order to be taken. Our server was great - but she was overwhelmed. The host should have jumped in to help. Food was great

   This was our second dining experience at Lulu and it didn’t disappoint. The food, cocktails, service, and ambiance are exemplary! Although it’s pricey, it’s worth the splurge for an outstanding dinner!

   Dining at LuLu is always a fulfilling experience! Whether eating lunch or dinner, it never disappoints. The food is delicious—fresh and seasonal. The staff is so friendly and professional and proficient. The ambiance feels like being in the Mediterranean and visiting family who enrapture you into their world of exquisite flavors and smells and visuals and aesthetics and warmth and love—propelling you into the greatest experience possible!     I know what most restaurant industry workers think when they hear “I usually don’t say anything but…”. However, I’m cashing in mine. My girlfriend and I really wanted to like this place. The menu looked great and the atmosphere seemed warm and inviting. Unfortunately, it was just such a disappointing experience. Everything started completely fine; we were 1 of maybe 2-4 tables in the restaurant. Drinks and apps came in a timely fashion. Steak tartare was plated beautifully and tasted just the same. After apps were cleared, we waited and waited and waited. Our server rushing back and forth without batting an eye. I will say, our server was SLAMMED. parties walking in one after another. Our server…seemed like the only one. It’s Presidents Day in the heart of Sag Harbor. What are you doing management? Anyway, after waiting upwards of 40 minutes for entrees (a personal pizza and a salad with chicken) and no ability to order another round (unless we went to the bar ourselves), we had to flag down what looked to be the manager. Told him we have been waiting a while, he says he will check on our meals. No “sorry for the wait”..nothing. He comes back shortly to say that our meals were being plated..again no apology. 5 minutes later, entrees arrive. My grilled chicken salad with gem lettuce cobb, was literally egg salad with avocado and bits of lettuce. I will say the chicken was plentiful and delicious. I was anticipating a light, green leafy salad with chicken. Very disappointing for a $32 salad. We decided to ask for the check. This is was the strangest part. The server just refused to make eye contact. It was so rude and bizarre. He drops the check on the table, turns his head away from us and says “whenever you’re ready” and walked away. Then he did it again dropping off my card to sign. It was so non-personal and rude. I understand if he was busy, but at least be courteous to your guests. It really is a shame. This place looks like it has so much potential.
