Cheltenham’s newest MICHELIN Star - Lumiere is an elegant, ingredient-led, innovative, fine dining experience in the heart of Cheltenham. Lead by husband and wife team, Somerset born Chef Jon and general manager Helen, the restaurant has a focus on the best British produce sourced from a network of dedicated farmers, fishermen, producers & our own family run farm.
Since opening in January 2009, Lumiere has received numerous local and national awards including a MICHELIN Star, AA Restaurant of the Year for England, 3AA Rosettes and is regularly listed amongst the Top 20 Restaurants in the UK by Hardens and Tripadvisor. Jon was also shortlisted for Restauranteur of the Year by The Caterer for all of his efforts during the pandemic.

A truly outstanding meal. Service was perfect. It was one waitresses first night and she fitted seamlessly into the team Well crafted menu and all courses were beautifully balanced. Very good value wine list. A most enjoyable evening

Beautiful food in beautiful surroundings. The whole evening was a masterclass in hospitality. Imaginative and visually stunning dishes that had layers of textures and flavours. Bold and surprising combinations that worked perfectly. The service was also outstanding. It was assured and charming in equal measure as we were led on a wonderful journey through the 6 course tasting menu. So happy.

We had the best evening at Lumiere! I have been wanting to eat there for years so was such a special experience. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly! We had the 8 course tasting menu and everything was so beautifully presented and the flavours were incredible! The smoked Eel was a highlight as well as the tequila slammer palette cleanser 🥃 Thanks so much Helen and Jon for an unforgettable evening 🫶

A bit too much lemon in the martini and the tequilla slammer " palate cleanser" is a bit too mourh-puckering but otherwise all great. Good flavours, qell presented good service.

Absolutely incredible, we’ve been coming for 15 years now, and first time since the Michelin star - completely blown away as always, Jon knows just how to keep such special food unique but current! Still superfans here, of the incredible food, superbly matched wines, and beautifully attentive service, happy happy diners!
