   Lussmanns is reliably good and I've never seen it as busy as on my most recent visit on Friday night! However after a slightly creaky start (was gagging for a drink and had to wave down a waiter after a long wait and no sign of being asked) the pace picked up and the staff worked really hard to ensure service was attentive and helpful. A great asset to St Albans -- thanks to all the team!

   We have been to Lussmans many times over the years and it’s good to go back and know that the food, service and whole experience are top notch. The cod cheeks stater tonight was sensational and my steak, (which was unusual for me), I’m not a big meat eater was fab. We talk about local eateries and when on holiday it’s great to find one, we had a great night, good food, lovely service. What more do you need.

   We have been coming to Lussmann’s since it opened about 30 years ago and we have never been disappointed. Food, drink and service is always excellent.

   After a long walk from Radlett to St Albans, me and my mum had a table booked here. Staff were lovely and welcoming, food was fantastic and we had the 3 course set menu which was incredible value for money. We'll definitely return.

   I took my friend here for lunch to celebrate her birthday and we had a delicious meal. I had noted that we were celebrating a birthday and so she was presented with ice cream with a candle, which was a lovely touch. The servers were friendly, polite and attentive and we very much enjoyed our leisurely lunch. I would be happy to return any time and would highly recommend.

    I ordered the Fish Stew which arrived with mussels and other ?white fish and diced vegetables but in a dark brown sauce which I found strange and slightly unappetising with fish, the white fish was therefore brown and the taste of the fish seemed to be obliterated. I wouldn’t order it again. The apple crumble was nice with ice cream. My friend ordered the Halibut with she said was excellent but agreed that my fish looked unappetising as it was brown.
