A White Christmas Afternoon Tea

Celebrate the festive season with an unforgettable afternoon tea at Luttrellstown Castle.

This year, our Festive Afternoon Tea takes on added significance as we mark the 200th anniversary of Luke White, the first owner of the castle outside of the Luttrell family. White, who renamed the estate Woodlands, transformed it into the magnificent castle and demesne you see today. His legacy continues to shape Luttrellstown, and we are proud to honour him this December.

Available on December 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd, our afternoon tea offers an indulgent selection of traditional sandwiches, delectable pastries, and freshly baked scones to celebrate the season.

Prices are €70 per person for Afternoon Tea, €85 for Champagne Afternoon Tea, and €30 for Children's Afternoon Tea, which includes a soft drink.

A unique experience of afternoon tea in a in a real castle, which was lived in by the Guinness family till a few years ago.

Thank you so much for the lovely food and desserts 🍮 with our afternoon tea experience. We loved the tour around the castle- all absolutely amazing. We loved the atmosphere, Mădălina and Răzvan was very welcoming and made us feel special. Recommend it and would come back anytime. 10/10

Me and my partner love going for afternoon tea in historic hotels/ places. Ireland has some amazing locations. This was on my list for a long time and it didn’t disappoint! The food was exceptional as was the service. The castle itself is beautiful and has some very nice features. The only downside side was our interaction with security! They bordered on rude, and it left a bit of a sour taste in our mouths! Aside from that it was great and we would definitely go back.

Repeat customers however little disappointed. Tea bags in teapot but served with strainer. No decoration for Valentines Day. Still lovely location, ambience & staff.

It was a joy to visit Luttrellstown Castle fir afternoon tea. The dining area was sumptuous, surrounded by magnificent Dutch oil paintings, and a view to die for. Food was beautiful, and I was very well catered for as I was wheat intolerant. The staff were very pleasant, and we were supplied with copious amounts of tea and coffee. if we wished. We had a tour of the castle as well, and admired the secret door in the library, and the rooms of the Guinness owner.

Firstly, the eircode is for the clubhouse, go on Maps and look specifically for the Castle Resort. Then not a bad experience overall, although we thought the food to be below what you could find at other afternoon tea experiences. You'll want seconds for the scones, but maybe not for the chocolate loaves for example. Gluten free bread for sandwiches was mediocre, but pastries were good and GF scones were amazing. Definitely stay for a tour of the castle afterwards as it was quite interesting to learn about the history and see some of the rooms.
