   Our initial impression of Lyla Toronto was great, however our experience at the end of the night ruined our opinion of Lyla and both (reso for two) agreed that it will not be worth another visit. If you want to feel rushed and be told that your table is no longer available after an hour and a half this might be a good option for you. But after spending a good amount of money (e.g., ordering a bottle of wine, appetizers, mains, and etc) it left a bitter taste on the night and Lyla will be remembered as a rushed experience. We thought the food was good and that our server was extremely friendly; however, it was an extremely rushed experience. Appetizer, food, coffee, and bill come flying at you making you feel rushed. We arrived on time and at about 1 hour and 45 minutes into our night the hostess approached and stated that they had another reservation at the table. Our bill was brought to the table with our espresso and we didn’t ask for the bill yet. My partner wanted to order another cocktail. Aka thanks for coming but its time to leave we felt lol or you can be moved to the bar for whatever else you want. Mean while the couple next to us arrived extremely extremely late. If you want to come for a date or a night out and want to enjoy your company I would recommend you pick another location. If you want to come for a rushed experience this may be a good choice for you! I was never told Hey you need to leave your table at a restaurant before especially considering we were spending ($300.00 bill for two in a hour and half lol). Wasn’t about the money; however we felt that experience at the end of night was very unclassy for a restaurant that wants that title OR should be told that the reso has a time limit. But, it’s alright being near Queen street we had many options available for the extra cocktail. Will not be a returning customer and will not be recommending to any family and friends. It was good but nothing to be raving about.

   The atmosphere was overall good, and the food was decent, though not particularly impressive. The service was generally fine, but there was an issue that left a poor first impression. The staff advised us that the portions were small and suggested we order an additional dish. However, when the food arrived, the portions were larger than expected, so we asked them to hold the pasta we had added. Unfortunately, they later informed us that since the chef had already prepared it, we would be charged for it regardless. This approach to customer service didn’t sit well with me. While it wasn’t a bad experience, there wasn’t much to rave about either, and I’m not sure I’d be in a hurry to return.

   Had a celebration of my album in the Gold Room and the service was great. Great food aswell.

   Paid nearly $500 in the end. Waited half an hour after our reservation time for a table. Half the items weren’t available, food was alright. Paid an extra 55$ for oysters and half of them were bad! Wouldn’t necessarily reccommend. Service was good however!

   We had a reservation and ended up waiting almost an hour to be seated. Dined at this restaurant for NYE and had a prefix menu but more than half of the mains were sold out. Would not recommend

   Amazing food and experience, went for the prix fixe meal on NYE and everything was delicious. Cocktails were great as well. Would definitely go back.

    Really great for date night, the ambience is very dark and intimate. We had the rigatoni and it was amazing!
