   Service is not as attentive as I would like for these prices. There is a feeling that turning the table is just a bit more important than the diner's experience. Both are important, but turning the table comes in first.

   They sat us back in the cold cellar despite my reservation requesting the standard dining room. This is the 3rd time they’ve done this. They didn’t sit anyone after us or before us in the cellar so I can only imagine why. It wasn’t until we were about 15 minutes that they sat another couple back there.

   The ambience, drinks and food were great. Loved the ability to do family style dining with shareable portion sizes (the lamp chops were a good size too). The attention to detail was not up to par from our waitress, but was excellent from the servers and hosting staff.

   Ambiance was perfection. Service was absolutely perfect. We had Zoey as a server and she was fabulous. She was very attentive and pleasant. The kale salad was the best salad I’ve ever had, and I highly recommend the grilled octopus. We shared the souvlaki, lamb chops, and sokolakopita. Everything was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious.I highly recommend this restaurant .

    if you’re looking for poor service with sassy waiters, you should go here. Our overall experience was not great however, their food is really good and so is the ambience. Our waiter was gone for 40 minutes at a time we literally had to beg to order a drink or order food or even get a dessert for the birthday girl.  Another annoying thing they continue to do was try to take our plates, even though they were not even halfway done. This was 2 whole hours before closing time. Their chef is doing their job great but their service workers need to work on their attitude and be more attentive.

   We have been here on several occasions. It’s a family favorite. Tonight was no exception. Actually, it probably was our best experience yet. Our waitress was exceptional and the food exceeded our expectations. Well done Lyra!

    Went with a couple of friends for dinner before a show at United Center and to celebrate a birthday. The dining room is gorgeous and calming. You are surrounded by light-colored/gray wood and soft lighting. Cocktails to start, which were deliciously crafted and appropriately boozy. LÝRA serves family style, so we decided to order a few Mezze items to split, including tuna tartare, horiatiki, crispy calamari and hummus & charred beets. The hummus and beets are a MUST. So much flavor packed into a seemingly simple spread, which come with soft and chewy pita bread to dip. My only critique was the calamari was on the saltier side, but it was breaded and cooked perfectly - not too chewy/gummy. I’ll probably get the grilled option next time. Once we finished our shared food, we ordered a bottle of rosé, which was delightfully bright on the palette, and the bougtsa for dessert. When our server, Nicole, brought out our dessert, she also brought an order of the loukoumades and a sparkler to help us celebrate a birthday. DO NOT skip dessert here - the bougtsa is a must try, so save room for it! Overall, we very much enjoyed our experience at LÝRA and will be returning to try more menu items!
