   We were very excited for this tea, 3 of us attending (2 adults, 1 teen) to celebrate a birthday. We arrived 15 min early and they showed us to a table to wait while they cleaned our actual table...we were seated within 10 minutes and given menus. Someone brought a welcome cold tea drink. A lengthy wait later or tea order was taken. Tea trays and small pots for each were brought out a but later...then, nothing. Most of the time, no staff were even in the room. It took over an hour before we were offered a tea refill. After 2 hours I left the tea room to find someone to bring a check. The person that brought it asked if there was a problem and when I explained, he apologized profusely and told me none of the employees working in the tea room today actually did...it was bartender and restaurant staff directed to try to juggle both. Food was mostly not good, we ate very little. They waited the mandatory 13.5% gratuity only, so we paid 200 gbp for inedible food and no service. Terrible!

   When we arrived, our table was set but you could still see tea rings on the surface. It hadn't been cleaned. All the heaters were on inside and it was quite warm. The table next to us, when the little girl picked up her chocolates, they were mostly melted into her plate. The pillows were nice but should be refreshed or cleaned. All the props should be refreshed or cleaned. The "drink me" potion is way too sweet. None of the food items seemed freshly baked in-house. Service was slow and it wasn't even that busy. I asked for another sandwich and I was given an entire plate of them although I only like one of the sandwiches. The server handed me the plate verses taking my other plate and setting the new one in its place. The tables were quite small. We didn't have room for other plates. The kids asked for other sandwiches and they never got them at all. My husband asked for water and he never got it until he walked over to the bar and waited for a glass. They brought us another table's tea three times. It was a little chaotic. This was the girls' first afternoon tea. Not the experience we were hoping for.

   We had a great experience. We chose to sit in the courtyard which was decorated in classic Alice theme! They had exterior heaters and we were very comfortable. Service and food were lovely.

   I had a lovely time. Was an indulgence that was worth it. The savory items were particularly delicious as was the potion drink, the welcome drink, and Mad Hatters tea.
