   Our dinner experience couldn't have been worse. The restaurant was full with two large birthday dinner celebrations but it appeared there were only two kitchen staff working. We arrived at 7PM for our booking, ordered our meals around 7:15PM, it wasn't until 9PM that we received our main meals. For it to take nearly 2 hours is completely unacceptable, regardless if the restaurant was full or not. A small bit of planning could have avoided this complete disaster, rostering on additional kitchen staff or even preparing a set menu for the large dinner party's so its easier for the kitchen but this did not occur. It was evident there were other tables who were left waiting hours for their food as well. Our experience was made worse by children who were allowed to run throughout the restaurant without any intervention from parents or restaurant staff. This showed a complete disregard for other members of the public who were hoping to enjoy a peaceful night out. When the food did arrive it was so disappointing, the steak was chewy to the point it was almost inedible and the chips were soggy like they had been left sitting on the counter. When you're paying a premium for main meals (around $50) you expect the food to be of a decent quality, this was not the case. The restaurant staff did their best to apologise for the long wait and were offering complimentary drinks and dessert but this was about as good as the evening got. It so disappointing to have a local restaurant charging a premium for their food but serving up such poor quality. If you're looking for a decent, well priced meal then this is not the place.

   Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent visit. We sincerely apologize for the long wait time you experienced. We want to clarify that all guests were advised about the large booking that evening and encouraged to order early to avoid delays and no bookings were taken from 7:30pm onwards because of the big group. We provided an alternative seating option in the lounge area for a quieter environment. Regarding the food, we apologize for not meeting your expectations, and I will pass your feedback along to the chef. I want to assure you that we have already implemented measures to improve our service during busy evenings, including increased staffing and did a pre-order for large parties. Your input is invaluable to us, and we hope you’ll consider visiting again.

   Always a treat- good wine list, tasty food, and impeccable service. The staff were amazing.

   The service was impeccable, all the wait staff were so lovely and welcoming. Food was another story, we ordered duck pancakes to start, the duck was freezing cold as if it had been cooked, frozen and then thawed, they substituted certain items in the entree that just didn’t go with the dish and they didn’t notify us. The beef cheek red curry had little to no flavour, the Vietnamese chicken salad tasted mainly of fish sauce and there was way too many noodles.

   Beautifully presented and prepared food. Beef Cheek was so tasty and cooked to perfection. Laksa was very tasty. Great service and good atmosphere. Will definitely be back again.

   Had hair in my meal and was told i was wrong and would not be refunded. Some extras that were ordered were missed

   We are very sorry to hear that you found what you believed to be a hair in your food. Upon investigation, we found that the object was actually a small piece of wood from a skewer, not a hair. We use wooden skewer in our Chicken Satay and Nasigoreng dish, and it appears a piece may have inadvertently ended up in your meal. And to assure you it's not hair, we all have dark hair in the restaurant, no blonde or light hair. You are more than welcome to meet everyone. We take full responsibility for this and are implementing additional quality checks to ensure this does not happen again.    For a party of four, we had the yummy scallops and the MYO duck pancakes for entrees. Our mains were 3 different steaks, cooked perfectly as ordered and the chicken tikka pasta (slightly more al denta than preferred). Desserts were the dragonfruit panna cotta, the pandan creme brulee and the chocolate macadamia nut tartlet. Perfect. Loved the Suckfizzel cab sav too. Staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful.

   Obvious staff shortage, prior warning for wait times and service would be wise. Cold food and hours waiting is unacceptable for the amount your paying.
